fathom
This isn't me b****ing, but I hope to god there's no chance that Grilli is in the rotation next year. The guy has no command on his pitches at all. The last thing the Sox need is another Contreras on their staff where they walk 2 batters and give up the 3 run homer. He should not even be in the bullpen next year.
fathom
If Ozzie is serious when he says that he's competing for a job next year, he's even dumber that I imagined.
GoodAsGould
i wouldnt mind if diaz and or munoz competed for a bullpen spot because i think both of them can be effective there but grilli is just complete trash maybe he is an ok 7th starter but thats all he is a backup for the backup
witesoxfan
Competing for a job is much different then being guaranteed a job. We could bring Minnie Minoso back, but odds are he wouldn't make the team...he'd be competing for a job nonetheless. If Grilli really is this bad(and he is), he won't make the team. DBAHO
If Ozzie is serious when he says that he's competing for a job next year, he's even dumber that I imagined. The only reason that's happenin is because Grilli did "OK" in his 1st outing.
3E8
Grilli would be okay out of the pen. Better than MJ.
fathom
Grilli would be okay out of the pen. Better than MJ. I'm not so sure about that. Grilli's control is barely bearable when he's a starter. However, out of the pen, you cant be walking guys all the time. How about we just have a bullpen without Jackson or Grilli!!!! Heads22
I hope Baj has MJ's spot next year. Something tells me Baj will settle down next year. He's one hell of a competitor and now having been in the bigs I'll be surprised if he settles for anything less.
witesoxfan
This is in answer to anyone who claims that Grilli could do what Jon did last year. :puke No one has said that, and if they did, no one meant it. I think we've explained that to you several times and yet you continually bring it up. We all know Garland is better then Grilli...that is why more is expected out of Garland then Grilli. So just drop it.

winninguglyin83
Grilli didn't even dominate at Triple A. He cannot control the strike zone. The only thing he has going for him is that he plays for the minimum and he's happy as hell to be in the big leagues. If we start next season with Grilli in the rotation, we're not serious about winning.
