GASHWOUND
I got my cable internet put in on Fri at the new stomping grounds and didn't realize how sucky dial-up really was. Mostly in downloading songs. So went to downloading. It would normally take me 15 mins to download a song from iTunes..I thought that would improve to like 2 mins or something. The f***ing song downloaded in 5 freakin seconds 15 minitues-------5 seconds I downloaded 5 songs which took a total of 30 seconds. Well, that socked my in the gut. The only problem is, that's your new standard and when those same songs take :55 because of betwork bottlenecks, you'll be pissed. Trust me the speed honeymoon thing only last for a week or so, then you only notice the delays.

Texsox
Sadly thats the truth Every once in a while I use a dial up connection and stop complaining that RoadRunner crippled the speed from the beginning. They placed artificial restrictions on the connection speed so we wouldn't notice the slow down when the pipe filled.
Wise Master Buehrle
My friend is the same way. I think downloading something at 30 kb/s is pretty good, but for him if it isn't over 200 then it sucks. Poor baby.
