1549
Noone got around to wishing everyone a happy Columbus Day. For anyone who is unaware of Columbus, here is his history: 1. Born in Spain 2. Worked as a merchant/pirate even raiding many spanish ships 3. Decided to travel to India going West. 4. Claimed to be an Italian man by the name of Christopher Columbus so Ferdinand and Isabella would not know put 2 and 2 together. 5. Got 3 ships and sailed off (Pinta, nina, santa maria) 6. Landed in Hispianola 7. Called the natives Indians because he thought he was an India 8. Never found gold and spices 9. Returned to spain and was put in prison because of his debts. 10. Died unhappy Not to mention that he wasn't even the first European on the continent, that goes to our Viking friends. Anyway I have the day off so I love christopher Columbus.
