Heads22
It's the damn story problems. My algebra foundation isn't really solid thanks to prior teachers, so everything crumbles that isn't the derivative. The power rules, product, quotient and chain rules aren't too bad. jackie hayes
Calc is just computation (as is diff eq). You won't know if you really like math until you take an abstract algebra or analysis course. (And I imagine you'll hate teaching math if you don't enjoy it at that level.) Battle through calc and see if you like the more heady stuff. I think it's fun to play w/, but I don't have much of a talent for it.
Heads22
Took analysis last year. Thought that was more interesting once I got the hang of it.

Steff
Updated list of where i wanna go: FSU, the U (miami), USC, U of South Carolina, University of Washington, Auburn, and Mizzou. Northern Ill. is where I will go if I cant get into any of those schools. This summer I'm going for a 3 week summer school thing at the U for Broadcasting/Journalism and Sports Management. Looking forward to that. With that list, you're sure going to be in school for a loooong time.

Have fun with a dismal sports program for years(probations) But, the education is good and the girls are nasty. you should have looked at KU, top 15 Journalism. Have fun with a dismal sports program for years(probations) But, the education is good and the girls are nasty. you should have looked at KU, top 15 Journalism. The J-school is what brought me toward Mizzou. Not too many of us New Jersians go past the Mississippi, however since I am from Illinois I figured I can be an exception. When you say the girls are nasty are they: nasty as in ugly, or nasty as in b****y. When I visited school wasn't in session, so I didn't see many girls. WSoxShuf
Well everyone should make that trip to attend a game at the Fieldhouse, where it all began. But, KU is a top 10 party school and I would love to give you some great advice on where to go and what to do.

WSoxShuf
Mizzou is not that big of a school. Also I have many friends in columbia who just dont like the quality, just happens like that man.
chimpy2121
Hey shuf, so a kid like me (junior) who is considering Mizzou for college, should also definately check out KU?
Gene Honda Civic
Now everyone knows that is not true. Every school the size of our schools have a fine collection of girls. While I can't confirm Shuf's assertion, there may be something to it. I went to Iowa St. -- 2 guys for every girl. That's not an exaggeration. They had a huge engineering department, a good business school, and very small teaching college. 2 hours away, Iowa has more girl than guys, a HUGE nursing program, and much smaller technical colleges. Iowa girls >>>>>>> Iowa St. girls -- There's no arguing with it. Sorry Heads.
