WSoxShuf
LEt me address some of these questions. First for 1549, KU has a 2/1 ratio of girls to guys. That was very good to me over the years. Now, I can tell you that KU does not rank as high in journalism, but here are some rankings. The school has definitely gone way up the rankings in terms of their scores in schools. Here is a link from the KU website that lists some of our strongpoints. My Webpage Also KU is a top 10 party school with an awesome bar and fraternity scene and was rated as the prettiest campus in the midwest. Finally, there are the sports. KU created college baskeball and still has the greatest stadium and atmosphere to watch a game. The tradition there is rich, and the team is beloved. Also, our football team is making some noise. THis began with our first bowl game last year in a while, and we just beat K-state last week. WE brought over Lew Perkins who was formerly at UCONN, and he is really doing a stellar job. KU is also 25 minutes away from Kansas CIty, and 40 minutes from 5 major casinos . I was a campus guide for years and would love to answer any questions about my alma mater. Chisoxfn
I'm in my 4th year at Cal State Fullerton...oh ya, National Champs!!!! (Baseball and FENCING ) Studying to be an accountant and will probably take my CPA over the summer or at least prepare for it. Gotta get 150 Units so I can get pathway II on the CPA, which means I gotta go back for another year (really pisses me off cause I'm absoltuely sick of school). I have the worlds s***tiest classes. Well they are only s***ty cause the teachers SUCK (By suck I mean don't speak a word of english). I only enjoy one class...the rest are freaking pointless. Don't know exactly what I'm going to do next year, whether MBA or just get a dual major in finance.
Purdue129
let's just say the Mizzou kids come to Lawrence alot for our girls. The mizzou girls are very very subpar. sorry buddy. :rolly :rolly :rolly You are such a homer it's not even funny. Mizzou's J-school is top notch, most people are going to go there over KU. There are a ton of very good looking girls here also and Columbia is an awesome town. I'm sure Lawrence is a great town, but your blanket statements about MU are ridiculous. Take off your blinders for a second man. You take the this rivalry thing a little too far sometimes. EDIT: MU gives you access to KC and StL, for going out and when graduation rolls around. Purdue129
I just got accepted into my second choice school today; Missouri. Bring on Shuff and the JayHawks Congrats and don't let Shuf's unwarrented bias sway you.
WSoxShuf
Congrats and don't let Shuf's unwarrented bias sway you. Wait a second I said above the J-school is much better at Mizzou. Now the girls, dont even try it buddy. I turned down Mizzou because it was very boring and frankly dirty. I choose KU over Mich. State, IU, and Bradley. WSoxShuf
Purdue, have you ever seen Lawrence?????? Everyone who visits there loves it. East coast, west coast people, midwesterners.

Either way the people posting are obviously excited about getting into their top choices, and the first thing you do is talk down the school. That's uncalled for. As much as I hate IU in sports, I would never discourge anyone from going there. Most of the time, it's what you make of your own college experience, that makes it great. It's sad how closed minded you are when it comes to any discussion remotely about KU. You have every right to support your school, but you go out of your way to make everything else look like the plague. and I apologize for missing your positive statement about Mizzou's J-School, I must have missed it amongst all the negativity. Pale Hose Jon
A BID TO BE NO. 1: KU's mock trial team has qualified for the American Mock Trial Association National Championship April 4-6 in Des Moines, Iowa. This is the fifth time in its six years of existence that the team has qualified for the tournament Well ISU's Mock trial team was the national Champion two years ago. And with my help this year i'm thinking we can do it again.

3E8
I don't think my school is the best. I can think of several places I'd rather be.

AddisonStSox
U of I. Everyone from Illinois should consider it... Great school. In the top five state schools in the nation for a steal. All engineers (dont ask me any questions...I hate math lol) need to prioritize a visit as well. However, Purdue was also gourgeous.
He_Gawn
Yea, I live near Purdue and its pretty nice. Some parts though are ALWAYS under construction. Lafayette is a very beautiful city. But personally, I think Bloomington is much nicer.

I've always had a lot of fun in Bloomington and really like their campus.

santo=dorf
I went to my local Community College for two years because I didn't want to bother filling out college applications when I was in High School, and I didn't know what to major in. I transferred to U of I last fall and it's a hell of a lot better in terms of the atmosphere, but I just hate it how classes are taught. santo=dorf
what you mean by that?? It just seems that some of the professors and TA don't give a s***. Others seem so smart, and don't want to deal with students who don't understand the material. Oh well. BTW, I was writing that last night while studying for an exam in a class where I am completely lost. That was right after I took a night exam and missed the first 6 innings of the Red Sox-Yanks game last night. I was really frustrated with school work at the time.
