Rex does it say who was asked or how many? That could make a big difference. Its a good list, just some odd choices that I've never seen mentioned before.

I agree there were some strange ones mentioned. It doesn't say who specifically or how many. My guess is it was a survey sent to all coaches. Which ones responded nobody knows, but since there were four Big Ten teams mentioned, I don't see how Illinois was shortchanged.

As far as winning goes, basically all Big Ten teams are great at home. Other than in a down year, Indiana is tough as hell at home, but that doesn't make Assembly Hall one of the toughest Arenas to venture into. It just means IU has good teams and plays well in their own friendly confines.

FWIW, I have never heard of Illinois as a terribly difficult environment. I am not saying that it isn't, but just that I have been a Big Ten fan all my life and never heard that. I am not taking anything away from the Illini or their atmosphere which I am sure is a very good one. But it doesn't surprise me they weren't on this list.

Yeah I agree 100%. Its the same way with the Dean Dome. Its so freaking huge that its tough to get a ton of noise unless its packed with 20,000 screaming fans. Assembly Hall and the Dean Dome are great for tradition and IU and UNC are always tough at home, but the atmosphere's aren't really the toughest. UNC used to play in Carmiechal, it was about 4,000 screaming students almost on the court, made Cameron Indoor look huge. BTW, you guys should see Cameron stadium up close, its smaller than my old high schools gyms. Amazing how much it can change to gameday with the retarded nerds jumping up and down.

Maybe players and coaches know more than you?? Just maybe?

Or maybe qwerty just agrees with whatever the hell anyone says, for the sake of fitting and and upping the post count.

Illinois shouldn't be in the top 10, have you ever heard anyone talk about the trepidation that entails going into the storied assembly hall?? I thought not. Christ, people, let's be a little more biased if we can.

I don't know why you would say that i agree with people all the time. That is not the case at all. It was my opinion that's all and i am sure some others feel the same way. Is that o.k with you?
