I agree that he needs an upgrade at center becase alot of blocks and rebounds never hurt. Aboz is this head2head or rotisserie?

Last year I picked up Camby and Randolph on the free agent list before the season started, and those two guys were pretty much the difference for me, as I barely won the league that I was in. You have a kick ass squad outside of Raef and Tinsley. The latter should provide plenty of steals, however, but not much else.

Nobody expected him to do much last year because the guy is always injured. I doubt that I'd have picked him up either if not for the fact that Ilgauskus and Curry were my only centers going into the season. Then I dropped Curry for Dalembert in either November or December...can't forget about that move. That contributed to my 1st place finish as well. God damn was it a struggle. Actually, if not for picking up a bunch of 3 point specialists down the stretch (Damon Jones, Jon Barry, Chucky Atkins), I wouldn't have won. I think I was 8th out of 12 teams in 3 pointers going into the final month, and I finished 4th. That's your difference, right there (combined with the free agents and what not). Everyone will have a damn good core in fantasy leagues...it's the little things that will get you over the hump. I'm in Soxtalk League #1. Because i picked him up in a league or two and his three along with his 5-6 boards a game was a nice little boost. I am also in Soxtalk league 1. He was ranked every place in the 300's.

There were two guys in my league that I had absolutely no business beating. I remember one of them picking up Radmanovic. I didn't think much of that move at the time, but 160 3 pointers from a power forward could work wonders for your team if you're trying to make up ground in that area, which I was. Never again will I sleep on the 3 point specialists, because the lack of those types of players is what really buried me early on. And I drafted Ray Allen and Elton Brand...both of those guys missed the first 20+ games of the season for their respective teams. I wasn't looking good at all. hammerhead johnson
i dont really know for sure why but i know my friend often grabbed him early cuz he was hoping for good numbers My buddy was big on Zach Randolph as well...that's probably why I went after him. Zach sure as hell can't play any man to man or help defense, but he has some of the sweetest post moves of any player in the league right now. I did a draft about 1 month into the season last year and i guess everyone forgot about allen and brand. It was an 8 or 10 person league, but anyway i had the last pick and it was a snake draft so i took allen and brand back to back in the 5th and 6th. I was so f***ing happy then because they are both late first round early second round picks. I started off pretty slow without them but once they got back i won the league with ease. Because if before your friend and asshatsoxfan's friend sure know something not many did. He saw something that he liked in Zach during the 2002-2003 season. I listened to what he had to say, went and looked into it afterwards, read a few things here and there, and poof! (biting danman here, who bit hawk) I had him on my squad. And the early returns were beautiful. Here are some of his performances from last November: 21 points, 13 boards 20 points, 16 boards 29 points, 9 boards 18 points, 11 boards 28 points, 14 boards 25 points, 19 boards 17 points, 10 boards 21 points, 8 boards 24 points, 15 boards 26 points, 9 boards That's one hell of a fantasy player. A select few major basketball geeks saw this coming, but not me.

Another guy who you would never want on your actual team but you absolutely have to have on your fantasy team is Stephon Marbury. He is a paper superstar. His teams will never win anything, but god damn is he a nice fantasy player.

He is a stud but i would like to see he turn the ball over a little less. 3 a game is pretty bad, but players that get alot of touches have a tendency to turn it over more. A select few major basketball geeks saw this coming, but not me. Kapkomet graduated from the same HS as Zach, and I knew he HS coach on a first name basis. We both saw Zach play for the first time his Soph year of HS. The guy was a bull even back then. One of the greatest IN HS games I ever saw was when Zach's HS and Jarred Jeffries and Sean May's HS played for the state title a few years back. (Marion vs Bloomington North) Randloph held Jeffries to only a couple baskets through the 4th quarter. It was one of those legendary games. The whole key for that guy has always been, and will always be, to stay on the straight and narrow. He has always run with the wrong crowd and has been in tons of trouble his whole life.
