How would Streets look in a Bears uni?

Not saying this is even a rumor....but here's what it says in the NFL Inside Dish....

Although the 49ers still have WR Tai Streets after trade talks with the Jets broke down, don't be surprised if he is dealt before the draft. Streets, a restricted free agent, doesn't want to sign a long-term deal with San Francisco, which means he'll be an unrestricted free agent next year. If the 49ers trade Streets this year, they can at least get something in return for him.

The word is they would settle for a second-round pick or possibly a third-rounder. Streets would like to get away from California. An Illinois native, he lives in Chicago in the offseason and doesn't participate in the 49ers' offseason program, which doesn't sit well with team management. Streets has not gotten over the fact that it took the 49ers until his fourth season to make him a starter. . . .

Just wondering.

And I'm happy as a Bills fan....they signed Sam Adams today to a 4-year deal. He's a big mofo. They could be a good team next year....that's scary, but not for me.

As a die hard michigan fan, I say go for it...hell while were at it get Marcus Knight too...an all michigan recieving corps except for Booker...and then Next year we can draft Navarre...we already have the A-Train back there, I love this, the Chicago Wolverines. Maybe with some guys that are used to winning the bears will be a little more consistent :headbang

My long lost brother!

I am writing you into my will today!

Tai Streets was one of my faborite all time players - especially the 1997 OSU game - the 98 Colordao game - every game he played.

How much is in the will?

Streets was a great player, He always seemed to be playing at a pro level in the college game...If memory serves me correctly he had two HUGE catches in the Rose Bowl. I think he caught the td pass following a long Woodson Return...that was a great season, I only made it to one game. It was the victory against Wisconsin, at Camp Randle...Woodson had a big INT in that game. What a season, my favorite game not counting the Rose Bowl was probably Ohio State, after that 21-14 over ND...that was just a fun season

1997

I was at the Baylor and Iowa games. I was raging at the the halftime of the Iowa game - my language was too obscene even for this forum - something about "we are going to blow it all" - but it all turned out well in a great chess match game of field position.

There is more in the will than anyone might suspect - and it does include all my unused (because I died) tickets for the White Sox, UM, the Lyric Opera and Eminem concerts. (I loved the little bit of sampling from the UM band that Em does in White America - "look at these eyes, baby, blue, baby just like yourself" - cadence direct from the band.)

I remember watching the Wisconsin game - that as an incredible season, and Charles was and will always be a favorite Wolverine of mine. I have his picture on my wall, the only UM player ever so honored.

I remember very little of the Rose Bowl game other than the pooch punt on our last possession. I was just too nervous to remember anything, just too tense.

I was touting Tai originally because he was from the Chicago area. When he turned out so well, I looked like a prophet to all my UM friends.

We have a receiver whose name I cannot remember now, #8 I think, or #6, a kid from Carver I think - he reminds me of Tai and I think he will be our next big play receiver.

I think my favorite game of the 97 season was the MSU one - everything that rivalry is about, the unbelivable interception for Woodson, and a game that was not so damned tense. I sweat away ten pounds in the last 2 minutes of the OSU game. How'd you get tickets for Camp Randall?

Post-post edit - the Penn State game was my favorite on reflection. I loved the way we went to Happy Valley and just destroyed them when everyone was saying that was going to be our downfall!

Hail to the Victors Valiant!
