Wong & Owens
I would like this guy: The Marlins apparently are prepared to cut ties with All-Star third baseman Mike Lowell, although the timing remains unclear. -- Palm Beach Post
southsider2k5
Maybe he'll reach Bonds territory and get to the 70's. What is the record for homers in a season givin up?? 50 by Bert Blyeven

The Sox would have a Konerko on each side of the infield if they got Lowell. I like Lowell, but I don't think he fits into the new philosophy of getting speedy contact hitters. His scouting report he is painfully slow but that he rarely makes mistakes on the basepaths.

Lowell has around a .350-.360 OBP. He could be our leadoff hitter with those kind of numbers

What i mean is they will just keep Crede and use money to get a CF or a SS. Someone who can get on base and possibly lead off.

OK, I get your point now. I would think that if we signed Lowell, we could trade Crede and still be able to upgrade at the positions you mentioned. I have no idea what kind of dough Lowell's looking for--and that's always the main factor.

I would like to see him on the South Side, but I doubt they are going to sign a guy for that much unless it was a #3+ starting pitcher. Who knows what the hell they will do. KW and JR are full of surprises.
BobDylan
Let King George waste all of his time and money by getting into a bidding war with Boston. When all of that hoopla is going on, we'll sign Beltran under the radar. The day Pedro becomes a Yankee is the day my hair falls out. Pedro will never be a Yankee.
