The White Sox then could move shortstop Jose Valentin to third base." -St. Paul Pioneer Press Move Valentin to 3B?!? He won't even be on the team next year. I think I'd rather have Uribe at SS then Guzman.
southsider2k5
Guzman strikes me as one of those players who only plays hard when motivated... Anyone see him more often to give better info?

Given the choice between a .225 hitter in Crede at 3rd and a .225 hitter w/more HR's and errors at 3rd, I guess it's wishful thinking on a MIN sportswriters part that either one or both would be in the Sox 3B plans for '05. orangekrush88
I would love to see Guzman on the south side, however the guy is an idiot i would die if Valentin is here next year.
WilliamTell
Guzman is somewhat of a lazy shortstop imo. I live in Iowa so I see the Twins a lot, he can make the hard play but when it's a routine play he becomes lazy on it and gets his fair share of errors. santo=dorf
I would like to know how many of Guzman's hits are due to hitting high choppers on that carpet up in Minny. That's all I saw him hit in the series against the Yankees.

WilliamTell
A lot of those Twins hitters hit high choppers on that cement they call an infield up there. I kinda want them to get a new stadium so they can't do that anymore.

Thats like getting your Presidential Candidate information from the Baghdad Times!!! As for Guzman, I say lets go get him...Guzman, Renteria, Vizquel, NOT LARKIN, anyway I look at it its an upgrade

Question: My post or post quoted has more signifigance?!?!?! Ummm.....his. Because it deals with baseball, and if affects the way the Twins play baseball at home. That's not important to you, fellow Sox fan?
qwerty
Haha yeah I guess he is kinda like Jimenez but I'd say he's better than Jimenez. Main thing guzman can do is hit triples. Jimenez is way better even though he is a prick. Guzman does not know how to take a base which equals low, guzman's obp last year was .309 :puke and career .303. Jimenez's obp was .364and his career is .352. He knows how to take some walks appparently. Also for guzman supposedly being top 10-15 in baseball stupid wise only ten syolen bases and five caught stealings in utterly ridiculous. Jimenez had 13 and is not nearly as fast, but he did get caught 7 times. Main thing guzman can do is hit triples. , thirll.

Forget it, no thanks.

WilliamTell
Maybe Jimenez has more potential than Guzman but he's not living up to it. I believe Guzman is better. And for my new stadium comment, they're talking about getting a new stadium so that's where that came from.

WilliamTell
So are you saying Jimenez is better than Harris, because they kept Harris over Jimenez so that would also mean Harris is better than Guzman.
WilliamTell
haha oh wow Jimenez hit .583 on turf.

Jimenez is a big prick willie is not. Yes i do feel that jimenez is better offensively but not defensively. Overall at tyhis point in time i feel the edge goes to jimenez, and there no doubt about it to me that jimenez is better than guzman especially when it comes done to money. WilliamTell
Sure I'll agree with money for sure. It's his defense that lowers him imo.
WilliamTell
What I really like about Jimenez is that he walks a lot, a lot more than Harris or Guzman.
witesoxfan
Guzman is a very streaky player. He is definately lazy in the field. But I wouldn't compare him to Jimenez though. Guzman is good defensively, is not nearly as good offensively, and is not a dickhead. For having real good speed, he does not steal a lot of bases...in fact, the 10-for-15 stat is accurate and proves how bad he really is. I would say no to Guzman...I want to become like the Twins, but getting Guzman would not be step in the right way.
