Cerbaho-WG
Yeah, he just injures himself so much, it's eerie. The worst part about it, though, is that if healthy, the kid can rake.

Chisoxfn
Tampa Bay Devil Rays outfield prospect. They got a ton of outfield prospects, but this guy was potentially the best outfield prospect in the games, along with Rocco Baldelli or whatever his name is on Tampa as well. clujer420
i wanna see tampa bay win some games sometime soon If they'd spend their money on pitching rather than on guys like Greg Vaughn, maybe they would win.

Being really good for 2 seasons shouldn't earn you a near $10M per season contract. .272, 50, 119 in 1998 .245, 45, 118 in 1999 Those are good power numbers, but his average is bad, and his strikeout to walk ratio is not good (combined 258 k's, 164 walks). His OBP (.363 and .347) is alright at best Very up and down player throughout his career (in other words, not consistent), and did not deserve the money he got IMO. Bad move by the D'Rays. Chisoxfn
They invested too much money in elderly players.
Guest wsc425
Rays released Greg Vaughn...what a bust. They also traded Conti for Javier Valentin, Jose's brother. So now its: Grieve, Crawford, Rolls, Tyner
KipWellsFan
They invested too much money in elderly players. They they also spent too much on Canseco and Castilla. I think there were a few others as well but not too sure.

witesoxfan
Man Boggs was a helluva player....the worst he ever hit was .260....and aside from that year...the worst he ever hit was .280. And he only hit below .300 3 times in 18 seasons. What hat will he wear into the HoF? I believe they took that choice away from the players because of Boggs(I suppose he was going to go in with a DRays hat in because that's where he got his 3000th hit....I think that's what I heard). He had his best years in Boston.....he won a series with the Yanks....and he got his 3000th hit with the DRays.
