knightni
Wasn't Texiera a 3bman before Blalock? I wonder if he still has 3b skills.
beck72
I would guess they would try to hold onto Soriano as middle infielders are much more difficult to replace, and they have potential replacements for Texiera. I hadn't heard anything about Park, but if I were the Cubs I wouldn't even be touching him. He was a product of that big ballpark in LA. Maybe I'd look at him if I were the Tigers, but no way I touch him in a small ball park. Soriano was getting roasted by fans for his horrible defense at the end of this season. I don't think TEx would be sad to see him go. I heard they were thinking of moving Michael Young back to 2B and get another SS.
qwerty
I heard he was still struggling to get over his hand injuries though. Didn't they have another 1b prospect who was hitting really well? According to texas fans the only thing in his way from put up really solid numbers in the big leagues is texiera. Gonzalez hit .304, 28 doubles, 12 homeruns, 88 rbi's, .457 slugging, .364 obp, and 821 ops in PCL. He put those numbers up in 457 at-bats. Chisoxfn
Text was a Georgia Tech and was an amazing college hitter. Never has been known for his defense and it was assumed he would likely move to left or 1st. Then again, I don't think Hinske is exactly great defensively. YASNY
Texiera is a guy I like a lot. I'd consider moving Garland to get him and take my chances acquiring starting pitching elsewhere.
DBAHO
Would a package of Crede and Garland be enough for Teixeira possibly, although I still definitely don't want to give up on Garland. The Sox have said they've fixed a mechanical problem with Crede's swing, but I'm not getting my hopes up, even though he could break out like Beltre at any time, which worries the heck out of KW. Texas would JUMP all over that deal. Garland's trade value is vastly underrated around here, and Crede's is somewhat. Garland would be a prize pickup for the Rangers and you wouldn't have to add much more than that, imho.

It'd be nice to get a prospect back like Josh Rupe or even a bullpen guy to add to that deal possibly.

I am trying to figure out a bullpen guy that they have that would make it work. But most are either young or old and s***ty.

That way he could throw chairs at the Ligue's.
Rex Hudler
I don't see Texas having a need for Crede. They already moved Texiera away from 3B to accommodate another guy named Hank Blalock.

In fact I'm pretty confident that same deal could land you Soriano, who seems to be on his way out. Tex would be a great pickup, but I don't know where he'd play, he isn't a good 3rd baseman so unless your also moving Konerko this team makes little sense to me. I do agree with Yas that us Sox fans drastically undervalue Garland, although I'm not one of those people.
