chisox05
I play for real money at Pacific Poker. It is a great site w/ easy competition and great customer service. They are the most reliable site on the net as far as withdrawls and gameplay. Anyways, they are offering a nice deal. If i were to invite some1 to play, they get 25$ free + 25% of what they deposit. If you are interested or just want to talk poker, email me at [email protected] or im me on aim at whitesox04champs.

The Beast
I'm going against the norm on this one. While this may be how (sadly) a few teenagers make their money off poker, I think that there is a line in which gambling needs to be controlled by someone. Kids make this their life sometimes, playing poker... I know of people who have gambling problems, and would you want to follow an example of them? This is all my opinion, thanks. CWSGuy406
Sounds alot like me, except only occasional drinking, +Bulls. Yeah, I really shouldn't say 'drinking' in there. I'm not a hardcore drinker at all, I just do it to have a good time, really. I don't get piss-ass drunk every weekend. But yeah, poker r0xxxs! Whatever, for those who use it to make all their money, get a real job. We're not hardcore gamblers. We do it to have some fun, it's a good game - and everyone loves money (you do love money, right? or, at least like it a little bit? Can I even say that about you -- don't wanna offend ya...). It's just to have a good time with your buddies... The other night, I was feelin' down, feelin pretty s***ty -- played in a five dollar buy in and took home like twenty bucks or so. Poker is awesome! qwerty
What are you talking about Its legal, just a couple of states wont allow it. If there are poker chips on the table it is legal. If there is actual money on the table it's not.

Dont you have to be 21 to gamble and most people in this thread are under 21 except cheat. Maybe im wrong or its only in casinos or somethin but i dont see a difference in gambling in casinos or at home except a professional dealer. But who cares, your not gunna arrest ya for it. I turned 21 back in August! :finger The Empress casino back home just installed hold 'em tables. I didn't go there last weekend when I went home , but I heard the blinds are $5-$10. whitesoxin'
What are you talking about Its legal, just a couple of states wont allow it. Well it is illegal for me I guess since I'm not 21. (I think the legal age in a few states, like Michigan is 18, but I'm not sure. I just know my cousins from Michigan are 18 and go to the casinos) I don't see why it is illegal though. It is my earned money from work and I can do whatever I want with it. It's a great time and me and my friends play at least once a week (twice this weekend) and during school. Funkman7
The way I see it, even if you lose 50 dollars to 100 dollars in one night playing poker, that's still not bad. You could make that analogous to spending 50 to 100 going to a ballgame or on a date or something. So for hours of entertainment, you only have to "pay" whatever money you lose. Remember, that's not even considering the chance that you may win money. So hey, if people want to gamble, then let them. It's just a hobby. Now if they're taking out mortgages or loans and then gambling with that money, obviously they've gone too far. Most of the time however, I would venture a guess as to 98% of the time, a teenager gambling on Texas Hold'em does not turn into a life threatening addiction.
