chisox05
The Giants are so stupid, now they have like 4 guys tied up who are starting MI's(Vizquel, Durham, Alfonso, and Cruz). I can see Cruz being a guy that plays a little bit of everything this year...probably a little 3B and a little OF along with 2B and SS, but they do have to get rid of one of Durham and Alfonso before the start of the year and they will not get a lot for either of them. Actually Alfonzo can play and does play 3B with the giants. Vizquel is there shortstop. Durham is there 2b.Cruz is a utility guy for those positions. They aren't stupid for this. Buehrle>Wood
Gabe Kapler signs with the Yourmouri Giants. Kind of surprised to hear that, he could of easily gotten a major league offer.

southsider2k5
I was reading this about Bowden as a GM in Washington, and this last sentance jumped out at me. Bowden also wants to add at least one 180-inning starting pitcher in the $3 million price range. http://msn.foxsports.com/story/3185146 Does that quote sound like anyone we know? southsider2k5
Jon Garland. Bingo. If PK gets dealt without Garland somewhere... the Johnson for Garland idea, could become reality.
Chisoxfn
Bingo. If PK gets dealt without Garland somewhere... the Johnson for Garland idea, could become reality. Well KW should be fired if he trades Jon Garland for Nick Johson. If he gets Zach Day or Tony Armas Jr. along with then it would be alright. SuperSteve
Redmond to Twins official. Per Rotoworld: Twins signed catcher Mike Redmond, who had been with the Marlins, to a two-year, $2 million contract. Henry Blanco will head elsewhere as Redmond takes over as Joe Mauer's new backup. He's fine defensively, but whether or not he'll be an upgrade will depend on his batting average. In seven years as a big leaguer, Redmond has hit over .300 four times and below .260 the other three years. He has no power and a mediocre walk rate, so it all comes down to how many singles he delivers. Given Mauer's somewhat shaky status, Redmond will be at the top of the list of $1 catchers in AL-only leagues next season.
witesoxfan
Both Wickman and Redmond have been changed
DBAHO
Well KW should be fired if he trades Jon Garland for Nick Johson. If he gets Zach Day or Tony Armas Jr. along with then it would be alright. Day would be perfect, good groundball pitcher and he's young. Doubt it happens though, and I can't see Bowden giving up his young pitching. Chad Cordero is almost untouchable.

santo=dorf
Red Sox re-signed catcher Doug Mirabelli to a two-year, $3 million contract. per rotoworld Gary Bennett has signed with the Nationals. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=mlb&id=1934444
chisox05
Red Sox re-signed catcher Doug Mirabelli to a two-year, $3 million contract. per rotoworld DAMN! Mirabelli would've been a nice improvement over davis IMO. With Mirabelli and Redmond signing, there are no signs that KW will acquire a catcher to start over davis. SO, davis, maybe if you take a few walks and continue your clutch hitting you could be a favorite of mine.
