Guest hawaiisoxfn
Now, youre all Sox fans, so Im assuming no one wants Sosa in the Hall, but put your emotions aside. Im not really sure whether he will or not. Every player thats ever hit 500+ homeruns is in the Hall of Fame. But on the other hand, look at how hes tarnished the game. Hes used steroids, hes corked his bat, hes beat his wife, he abandoned his teammates (several times, actually) and then said he didnt (he was caught on camera), and he makes statements that are all about his stats and how hes going to hit 700 homeruns but he never says anything about how he wants to lead his team to win a World Series (which he never has). I really hope that the Hall looks at these stains and refuses forever (or atleast until hes dead so he cant see it). Unfortunately, I think he will make it but just not on the first ballot. 10 years maybe?

witesoxfan
He'll be a first ballot hofer ^yeah that^ I don't want him to be, and he should be a second ballot hall of famer(because really he boosted his stats in an amazing stretch of 4 or 5 years where he just went homer/OPS crazy and hit everything and anything, and then the Cubs got good and he went down the drain)...but he'll be a 1st ballot hall of famer, because of what he did for baseball. Rowand44
They already found his cork. Isnt that good enough? Unfortunately, no. The corked bat incident has kind of disappeared, hasn't it??
Guest hawaiisoxfn
Who exactly is on the board that inducts HOFers? Its not the media, is it? Thatd be awesome if it is, because the media seems very anti Sammy. But it also is very anti Frank, so maybe thats not a good thing.
qwerty
Unfortunately, no. The corked bat incident has kind of disappeared, hasn't it?? That happens to a sox player and we would never ever hear the end of it. I don't care if it was timo perez we still would.

No doubt, it's amazing how fast sosa's "mistake" just disappeared.

True, but i think he went from god like, to a mortal, faster than anyone has before. I mean when cub fans are booing you, it has gotten bad. southsider2k5
He is a HOFer, and most likely a first ballot one. And as more steroiders get caught, it will only serve him better.
Goldmember
wish i could say never, but will problem get in eventually. don't think he'll be first ballot though...
YASNY
I think the cork and steroids will make some voters hesistant, but he'll eventually get in. Though, he shouldn't.
Chisoxfn
The guys a selfish, asshole prick, but no doubt he's a hall of famer. He had some absolutely monster seasons and has had a good career. Of course its on the downside, but no doubt in my mind he's first ballot.

Miguel Olivo wasn't called corky for nothing. He was caught with it down in the minors. I don't think any of us held it against him. IT may not be at the major league level, but cheating is still the same, imo. And I consider myself an Olivo fan, even though I thought he was over-rated with us. I still wish him the best though. SuperSteve
He will be, how can anyone deny it. I don't like him at all, but that doesn't take away what he's done.
