LowerCaseRepublican
nothing damning to the Iraqis. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...hemical_plant_3 and about the Michael Moore thing... John Horn of the Los Angeles Times reported that “as Moore’s speech reached its crescendo” the producer and director decided “to cut him off. ‘Music! Music!’ they yelled. The orchestra quickly drowned out Moore and his microphone receded into the floor. Most of the Hollywood audience smiled and applauded, but stagehands, who were close to the microphones, booed loudly, making it appear to a television listener that Moore’s criticism of President Bush was not well received. Molto
I heard people in attendance booed also, not just stagehands.
Chisoxfn
Well I heard reporters that were there and they said that the majority of the place was booing, not just some reporters. Oh ya, what do you think about Iraq and the supposed chemical plant in a hospital. They had a freaking tank in it and everything. Supposedly there are pictures of it on the net, but I don't know where to find them. They found all these chemical weapons suits there, as well as the syringes to take to help you fight the chemical weapons, etc. And no, I don't believe that they had these suits to protect themselves from the US. Oh ya, they have dressed as US soldiers and shot civilians/surrenders trying to make us look bad. How can people defend Saddam? I don't get it. This guy has killed over 100,000 people and not only that, but ever since he took charge he's been the most violent dictator in the world. (At least now he is). Yes, the US made a mistake not finishing the job 12 years ago and for those that cite the UN as why they didn't do it. Well thats not the case, Colin Powell and a few others (I think Bush Sr. was one of them) were against finishing them off for whatever reason, so they didn't and then Saddam ended up slaughtering a lot of people right after that. Freaking disgusting, yet some believe we shouldn't help him, because America screwed up in its dealings with him in the past. What bull. I'm sorry, but why can't we fix the past and take this guy out and liberate the people off all the crap and punishment they have had to live with. Oh ya, if they are putting this stuff in hospitals, then no doubt they are doing it in schools, etc. Sick people and yet, people are protesting calling Bush Saddam? I don't care if he was a chickenhawk. I think it sucks, but the National Guard isn't what everyone thinks it is. They also serve overseas, or at least that was what I was told. Like 30% of our foces over there are national guards or something. I never knew that and someone can check that if they want, cause I'm going off 2nd hand info. Anyway, if your going to protest the war, I don't got a problem, but for I really think calling Bush a baby killer and calling him Hitler or Saddam is way off beat. Bush isn't murdering babies (hell, he's anti abortion; YA That makes sense). Oh wait, he's hilter, he's tryingto create a master race. . And Saddam, has he gassed and murder his people? The only thing he's done is do a great job in trying to whipe out terrorism. Oh ya, you want stories, just type Saddam and torcher or murder and you will get to read so many stories on all the people he's murdered and just how brutal they are. Your lucky if you just get shot in the head.

I saw it.. and when they panned to the audience and focused on Lou Gossit Jr (sp? - the black guy who played the Army Sergent in "An Officer & A Gentleman") there were several people booing. And even Tim Robbins and Susan Serandon weren't clapping and cheering so I don't believe a word of that.

DonkeyKongerko
An interview on MSNBC i believe showed Moore a bit regretful after his comments. Mostly I think it was because of bad timing as that was the same day a fairly large number of US troops were killed/captured in the battle at An Nasiriya. The ignorant S.O.B should have considered that possibility before he made an ass out of himself on nationwide TV.

I'm with you there 100% mooch..... but Moore's backers here pointed out to me that he is perfectly within his rights to profit on the corpses of 13 dead HS teenagers. America..... you gotta love it..... even though the one's that pointed out to me that Moore was within his rights to profit on the Columbine Tragedy trash America more than they defend it. Bush is using the corpses of 9/11 to justify whatever the f*** he wants to do. I think that's worth a little bit more than the few millions that Moore made on his film. But don't blame me, I got it off the internet And there actually is a large group of 9/11 Families and Friends for Peace and Justice which are totally outraged with Bush using their deceased friends and relatives as a justification for whatever the f*** he wants to do. They are all opposed to war in Iraq as well. If we had a Congress that passed some sort of legitimate gun control laws (cuz you have agreed with me previously CK that citizens shouldn't really have Tech 9 automatic assault rifles that serve no purpose other than to completely obliterate anything that moves) then we wouldn't really have as many children going into schools with assault rifles, etc. because it would be harder to get them. But the gun control lobby won't hear any of that. So be angry at Congress, not Moore.

God forbid anybody would want to change the status quo of America and *gasp* maybe make it a safer, more secure place!
