maggsmaggs
http://www.nj.com/yankees/ledger/index.ssf...80952144860.xml If you don't care to read, it mentions the Sox are possible suitors for: pavano, nomar and Renteria. Take it for what it's worth

southsider2k5
No chance on Rentaria. It is going to be the Omar show.
shagar69
im surprised they mentioned pavano. i thought he wanted to either stay on the marlins or go to an east coast team like the yanks, bosox, or O's

I look for a team like the Giants or Dodgers to be sleepers in the market for Pavano as well, if they can't get Pedro Martinez. They both have a pitcher's park which will be a big plus in negotations.
Punch and Judy Garland
I think the Giants will be players in the Alou and Steve Finley sweepstakes. I think them adding a bat will prevent them from adding a guy like Pavano. However, Sabean is a good gm and I don't follow them too closely so I could be wrong

But if they offer quite a bit more money, it may persuade him.
