Frank Thomas Pre-Season Predictions

Believe it or not, the Sox ranked amongst the top of the AL in offensive statistics last year without Mags, and more importantly, without first ballot Hall of Famer, Big Frank.

What should we expect from Frank in 2005?

G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB BB SO SB CS OBP SLG AVG???

Maybe the Admins can monitor this thread over the course of the year and we'll see who's the closest come October.

Have At It!

I'm sorry but i'm going to keep my predictions conservative.

I think it will be a down year in terms to Frank standards.

I think he will hit like .270+, with 35+ HR's and 90 + RBI's. He will still have his monster OBP just because of all the walks.

Damn conservatives!

Can't win comeback of te year he already did

Can't you "come back" twice?

If you suffer two serious injuries that put you down, or come back once from ineffectiveness and once from injury, is there a rule or something that you can't win it twice?

Or are you saying that you don't think they'd give it to someone twice?

...and YES, I actually did forget that he won it once.... :bang

Can't win it Twice. I think it was Big Mac or someone who won it in 1992 and then had another bad season, then had a monster season and they said on some network that he can't win it again

Is he even going to be able to start the season?

It sounds like best case scenario is that he will be ready for the beginning of the season. Worst case is another month to six weeks past that point. IMO when you are talking about a 270ish pound guy with foot/ankle problems, it is extremely optimistic to think he will be on the short end of that scale.
