Right handed- osuna.

Left handed- hammond.

I think they could realistically be signed. I would love nelson but who knows how he comes back from all his injuries and i would also love kline but he has yankees written all over him.

Edit: Also willamson may not even pitch next year.

I belive that Micelli (SP), would be a good pickup. He could be had for the price of Cliff Politte, and had good numbers last year, off the top of my head i think he had a 3.59 ERA, but i could be off. Having Marte and Micelli in the 7th and 8th with Shingo Closing i think is ok, shingo will not be as good as last year, but he is gona be good.

I like both suggestions. I was contemplating putting Osuna up there, but went with Williamson, not knowning that he may not pitch next year.

And, yes...Kline will be a Yankee.

Hey, since Williamson is hurt I just edited the poll to include Osuna instead (since u mentioned that). Tell me if you want me to change it back and I will :)

I am not one of those people that like to bring back players that have previously been on the sox. But osuna has just been so damn solid throughout his career i felt he was worth mentioning.

I like Baez. He might come reasonably cheap too. He was like 30/33 in save chances last year. He could close for us and if he slips up we can go with Shingo.

Shingo will, and deserves to be the closer at the start of the 2005 season. I dont no why people think we are gona get a closer.....WE HAVE ONE PEOPLE AND HE IS PRETTY DAMN GOOD

On the list I'd take Kline...

He's the best lefty available, though he's already being fitted for pinstripes...

I think the team needs a lefty because I see them using Cotts as a long man, and Marte as a set-up/Closer.

And as qwerty said, I think hammond could be the best solution for us.

Closer, setup man, whatever we need another bullpen arm.

You can always use more bullpen help. A bullpen can never ever be too deep.

dont get me wrong i totaly agree with the both of you, i just feel shingo should be the closer until he proves he cant do it or we get a riveria or gagne

I won't argue with that but if you can get a percival you can't pass that up, he becomes the closer shingo down to the setup position, like qwerty says that completely deepens the bullpen.
