Look at OC numbers once he hit the AL and had talent around him.. that is what you have been missing the whole fa-king time.

.294 avg

6 hr

31 RBI

.785 OPS

in 58 games...in the 2 hole while at boston

vs his MOntreal Numbers

.246

4 Hr

31RBI

.634

In 103 games while in Montreal

Hmm when the guy is around good players he does better, being in the 2 hole in White SOx Uni, hitting in front of Say Rowand/Lee/Thomas.. you can expect the numbers from the top.

he was not in the #2 hole for Boston the whole time he was there. They moved him out of there becuase he was doing so poorly. They were even trying Bellhorn there because Cabrera was so awful. Cabrera batted 7th, 8th, or 9th, which is where he should be. In Montreal he was moved to 6th because he couldn't hit high in the order. Now you want me to believe he will all of a sudden change and become the ideal #2 hitter for the White Sox? Idiotic! Go to MLB.com and check out the box scores and tell me where he was hitting. Don't make up crap as you go along.

huh? Lets get a couple of things straight..first his name is not BONDS/Vladdy.. so anyone without those names needs protection.

Never said he could lead-off...I said # 2 hitter.

ops .320, not the greatest not the worse.. compared to polanco  at .345.. oo big difference there.. considering he was hitting in front of Thome.. all Year, so there no real big deal.

Didn't i say lead-off or in the two hole? O.K.

Also an ops of .320? I think you are mistaken. Because he would be worse than a pitcher.

Edit: If was was as good of a hitter as you make him out to be. Lack of protection should not really matter, now should it?

Holy s*** where do I start? :o

Polanco would probably be brought in for 3 years, and we'd ask him to hit .290 15 60 .800 all 3 years...or stats similar to that. If we got better, good for us. Odds are very good we would not get worse.

Secondly, why the hell are you stroking Orlando Cabrera? I mean seriously, he hit .264 10 62 .306 .689, and you are making him out to be the second coming. He's a solid player, but he's not worth $6 mill at all.

And finally, your last point about Polanco hitting in front of Thome all year, that holds little ground at all. He'd hit in front of Thomas here, and Thomas is just as big of a home run threat as Thome is. And, when Cabrera hit in the #2 hole, he was hitting in front of some guy named Manny, who's only been one of the best RH hitters of the past decade or so.

Where to begin.. where to begin..

PP would come here for 3 years you say..Great nothing like overpaying for a no name, that would give us an AVG 2b who we are going to pay way to much for...anything more than league min.. is to much.

OC, one the great SS in baseball and no one wants him cause he is going to cost a little money.

If we make the dumb move of signing this guy, watch as PP comes here and his numbers drop and Joe B looks like a better signing.

HUH! :huh

What's the OC Hard on? Rather have Polanco. Proven #2 hitter does the little things. Intangibles (sp?) Can bunt, Play good d and move runners over. ;)

How many times does it have to be proven to you that he just does not fit in our lineup. We need a #2 hitter and Polanco fits that need as well as playing a very good 2B. Cabrera would be a great fit for this team if we wanted to start collecting middle infielders that play great defense that bat 7, 8, or 9 in the lineup. Get that through your head! He just doesn't fit this team.

I have tried to show you that he is not a #2 hitter and everytime he was given that chance he failed miserably. He failed hitting in that spot with both the expos and red sox. You are not looking at the big picture. I will agree with you that Cabrera is a slick fielding shortstop that would be a great #7,8, or 9 hitter. WE NEED A #2 HITTER!!! GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD!!

I totally Agree Polcano does not belong here. here has failed everywhere...ABout time you come to the good side of the force

So we all agree Polcano would be the 2nd worse signing by KW, and Cabaera would be the best fit...

Wow its about time you all seen the light..

Either that or he is a complete moron. He has yet to prove to anyone that Cabrera fits with our team or that he was ever a good #2 hitter. I think he was clueless and ignorant to what Cabrera actually was and is and now has nothing more to add to the discussion. Now he is just trying to be a clown about it.

No those were your Polanco numbers..

You have show us exactly ZERO that would back up your statement of him being a productive #2 hitter. ZERO!!!!! When you do that let me know. I have shown you how wrong you were time and time again. You know that he did not last long as Boston's # 2 hitter becuase he sucked and you know that Montreal, f***ING MONTREAL, moved him out of the 2 hole because he sucked there. One he was moved to bat 7, 8, or 9 in Boston is when he began to hit. Do you understand this or no? Come on now.

If he is a not a # 2 hitter then he does not fit with this team. It is that simple!

Joe B could have those numbers hitting in front of Thome...Those are nothing to brag about.

What is your point? Polanco would be hitting in front of Thomas and Lee for the White Sox. ARe you making this comment to give us an example of how well Polanco will fit in our line up?

Qwerty and SSI, just stop.

At this point in the thread, it seems like the two of you are talking to a brick wall. Honestly.

We all know who's provided the better argument, and in turn, who the better player is. Let him live in his little world of Kenny being the worst GM in baseball, and us ''clanning'' up against him...
