Just wanted to tell everyone that sometime in the next week I'm going to be upgrading the site to invision board 2.0. This move WILL go more smoothly then the past time. Everything will be backed up and I expect a minimal amount of downtime.

However, I'm going to give a much more leniant estimate, assuming that their will be about 2-3 hours of downtime (it could be as little as 15 minutes).

Anyway, just wanted to give everyone a bit of a heads up. It could happen pretty much anytime, just depends on when I'm in the mood for it and when I have time :)

Its going to be an upgrade to Invision 2.0

It will add some new features, and we'll get back and fully customize and add some of the hacks that the older version of this board had. Another thing it will offer is a threaded version as well for people that prefer that option.

Should be quicker, etc. Also the bug on Mozilla will be fixed :)

I have asked before but i forgot, will it have the italics that shows who is currently typing. On the bottom where it lists all the users. That is one of the cooler features i have seen on a message board. It is much better than looking at the last click to see who is posting or not.

Yep. Its also going to be fully registered once we make the switch which means if the board blows up and I don't know whats up, we get free tech support and all that

They have made it mandatory to have a registered board.

  • 2 weeks later...

Want to quickly inform everyone that the redirect error some of you were having should of been corrected. It would come up on certain ocassions but I went in and cleaned up some coding.

Anyway, you may have to refresh or clear somethings out, but the redirect should be working again for those that were having trouble (that was the reason the main part of the site couldn't be accessed for a couple minutes).

Just an FYI.
