CWSGuy406
Redmond and Rhodes for Kendall? You mean we couldn't top that offer? Ah, nevermind. I assume Kenny would easily be able to top it, just that Kendall wants to play out on the west coast... Nice deal for Beane, though.
witesoxfan
I assume that KW can top it and would top it, but is not doing so because by trading for Kendall he would take away any chance he has at getting Unit. I'd rather have Unit over Kendall, personally.
AddisonStSox
NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damnit Kenny, you HAD to get this deal done. I can't believe this.
TheBlackSox8
damn...i would have offered a better deal to the pirates than that....if the pirates accept i would have been a jackass to make a better deal than the real life A's did. redandwhite
Depending on how much the Pirates have to be pay of Kendalls contract, I think the Pirates actually are much better off now with this deal. They have a solid bullpen with Rhodes, Mesa, Gonzalez, Meadows, etc. and adding another starting to anchor Kip Wells, Oliver Perez, and gang could definitly help. TheBlackSox8
they could have gotten better though....that's what i'm saying. This really isn't a bad deal....but the Pirates could have gotten a better one.

He said he would waive his no trade clause to play for the A's.(CBS SPortsline) Its not about us offering more, it comes back to people wanting to play for us. As usual, nobody wants to unless your from Ozzie's country.

Taht tells you that the Sox never offered up Konerko or Garland cause the Pirates would of been stupid to not accept it. Although I'm sure the SOx were asking for a lot of cash back too. witesoxfan
Ohh well Kendall is gone. Time to focus our money on getting Carl out of the outfield.... They'll worry about fixing the hole in the rotation first. Or so we hope, anyways.

There's NO excuse for KW and JR if we don't get another starter with the talent on offer in trades and FA.
hi8is
Wonderful! i really dont think that ben davis is that bad i mean, he catches a really good game, is great with the glove, the arm, and his calls.... his bat has a ton of promise as we say last year.... and hell, even if he dosent hit a ton, oh well... we got ourselves a good defensive catcher i think with a lot of playing time, this guy can develop nicely time to address greater holes.... like its been said... our starting rotation, our RF situation, and our middle infileld.... there are plenty of outher routes to take in order to get this team in motion
hammerhead johnson
Its 1000 And besides, even if it was some crazy ass number, I'm sure that Dustin Hoffman could figure it out.

I don't think he does many of the things well that you mentionedAlso do we not have everett for right field? He had at the most a two week stretch were he was ridiculously hot then he went back to the same old ben davis.
witesoxfan
The White Sox team ERA in the first half of the year, without Garcia and Contreras, was 4.59. In the second half, with those two, the team ERA was 5.26. I think that helps disprove the Ben Davis calling a good game theory. He's a decent catcher...but there are better options out there. I don't think Davis' CERA in a Sox uniform was any good, iirc.
