witesoxfan
I don't think Davis' CERA in a Sox uniform was any good, iirc. His CERA with the Sox was 5.15, actually better then the team's ERA in the second half. Catching Freddy a lot will do that though.
qwerty
The Pirates are expected to chip in about $5 million of the $20 million difference in salaries in order to get the Jason Kendall deal done. It's believed that's all that's left are the physicals, and the trade sending Kendall to Oakland for Mark Redman and Arthur Rhodes will be announced on Friday or Monday. AddisonStSox
i really dont think that ben davis is that bad i mean, he catches a really good game, is great with the glove, the arm, and his calls.... his bat has a ton of promise as we say last year.... and hell, even if he dosent hit a ton, oh well... we got ourselves a good defensive catcher i think with a lot of playing time, this guy can develop nicely time to address greater holes.... like its been said... our starting rotation, our RF situation, and our middle infileld.... there are plenty of outher routes to take in order to get this team in motion I know we might love his hair and his country music, but the guy isn't a great catcher by any strech of the imagination. If Kenny really plans on going into the season with a Davis/Burke platoon, we better have made significant improvements in other areas, both offensively and defensively. Wise Master Buehrle
Why are all these players so concerned about being near their family? They have a whole f***ing offseason to be near their family. They're making millions of f***ing dollars and they think they deserve no-trade clauses. NO trade clauses are a load of s***.
