Good News For Hawkeye Fans

Recommended Posts

The university of Iowa plans to reward coach Kirk Ferentz for his second Big Ten title in three years by announcing on Tuesday that his contract has been extended through 2012. Iowa expects to start the week by extending Ferentz's contract, which currently runs through 2009. School officials and Ferentz appear eager to end constant speculation that the coach is headed to either a top NFL job or a larger school, such as Penn State, where longtime coach Joe Paterno has struggled as his career winds down.
