The Beast
Sandy Alomar Jr. as bench coach and Jerry Manuel as 1st base coach. Interesting, I didn't think Sandy was done Though we were the only ones interested...

greasywheels121
It's nice to see JM's name in MLB again; however, it's surprising it's only as a 1B coach.

Yeah it is good to see him at least get some job. Especially since it seems teams were only interviewing him to fulfill their quotas. YASNY
It's Sandy Alomar Sr. not Sandy Alomar Jr. That's ok. He still qualifies as an ex-Sox.
DBAHO
FWIW on Sandy Alomar Jr., has anyone heard anything on whether or not he'll be playing on next season? I've heard he wants to get into coaching, and the Sox could certainly look at him in some form of minor league position.
Guest JimH
Seattle might be interested in Sandy Alomar Jr. if they don't re-sign Dan Wilson, whom the White Sox are talking to.
AngelasDaddy0427
That would be a good move by Seattle as Alomar is a mentor of sorts to Olivo. Personally I don't know what to think of Dan Wilson. I'd rather have Kendall.

southsider2k5
It's Sandy Alomar Sr. not Sandy Alomar Jr. Are you sure about that? The Trib is actually reporting that it is Sandy Jr.
Chisoxfn
I'd be really surprised if Sandy went and joined the Mets coaching staff cause I know the Sox are interested in giving him a position somewhere in the organizatoin. Also, glad to see JM get another opportunity. I thought he'd of been an excellent hire for the Phillies and while thinks didn't work out in Chicago, I think with the right personell, he's going to once again be a good manager, like he was in the early years with the Sox. Manuel is a decent situational manager. He knows how to handle a bullpen, when to pinch run, when not to, when to stick up for his guys, when not to. He just can't motivate whatsoever. Like, I'm sure he could probably talk two teens who want to have sex out of doing it when he's actually trying to encourage them to do it. Guest JimH
Please take it easy on yourself Good post! No typos or anything, and the thought was coherent ... pretty much. I did not know you hated Konerko. Sexson to the Orioles, Mariners drooling over Delgado. Do you see your buddy going to Arizona? Makes some sense, does it not? I heard they were most interested in Redmond for that position, although it wouldn't suprise me if they are shopping Lieberthal although he could be a 10/5 player, I don't know.
