My family and I start putting Christmas lights right after Thanksgiving Day. And if we have enough time that day we go right on ahead and put our Christmas tree in the living room. Many people around here already have their Christmas lights turned on and a neighbor of mine already has his Christmas tree up! A little too early, IMO. And then in early or mid nov start putting them up. But this year i've been way to busy so im going let my family do most of it, which sucks cause I actully like to do it.
