Who says Wake Forest is the best team in the nation? If my memory serves me correct, the preseason number one in college hoops hardly ever cuts down the nets. Get back to me when you actually win something. Can i say "f*** off" in a more polite way? We beat the #1 team in the nation, regardless of what you say. Convincingly, might i add. Should we have lost, and then i can come back here and be like "hey, it means nothing." Definitely means something. Huge step in the right direction, huge. Chisoxfn Posted December 2, 2004 Share Posted December 2, 2004 Illinois is definately the team to beat until proven otherwise. It will be interesting to see them play a team like UNC though. UNC has a good low post precense and a good back court. I think they could give the Illini some trouble. And of course with so many shooters on a cold night, like any team, they can be beaten, but especially them since they rely so heavily on the outside shot. Fantastic game for them though. They know they can play with anyone. By the way cheat, as someone that roots for the Zags (don't follow them heavily) I just liked their story the first time they went deep (happened to be at one of their tourney games the year they played Uconn late in the tourney...I think Uconn beat them and then won the National Championship) and have been rooting for them ever since cause their fans were just awesome. All i said was, we're #1 right now. No s*** sherlock, it doesn't mean we'll be there in the end. But beating the CURRENT #1 team in the nation is quite the feat.
