Just a couple of thoughts...

Recommended Posts

A few of the men at my house were watching the end of the game, and we were commenting of how the Bears not have had a consistent QB since McMahon in the '85 season. I brought up the point of Kramer not being that bad, but not decent either.

I really can't understand why none of our quarterbacks can succeed in Shea's system, I mean it is a very optimistic system.

Jonathan Quinn is a out of here after next year, thank god.

Why did we blow our money on him? Oh yeah, Shea, he's so friggin godly, thats why he's got a 63.1 rating...

And without Grossman, who very well possibly could not be ready for next year, we could be in for a long year...

And you know, its sad, because the Bears are actually fun to watch, I think...the other teams are never fun to watch.

I hope one day, the Black hawk owner, the Mcaskey's and Reinsdorf go straight to hell, because they are the reason this town is a laughing stock...

Quarterback Rex Grossman is doing so well in his recovery from surgery on his right knee that had he not torn the meniscus with the ACL, he might have been able to return in January if the Bears made the playoffs.

I dont think we have to worry about him missing part of next year

I didn't hear about his update of success. I had only heard negatives.

Shea is crap, he is a piece of s***.  He is 10 times worse then John Shoop.

Not possible. ;) When shoops was here weren't people saying that they have never seen a worse offensive coordinator in their lives. I know have heard that alot in the time he was with the bears. :puke

I liked Erik Kramer when he was here. He was pretty consistent and he could actually complete passes on a regular basis and GASP threw some touchdown passes as well. The thing with him was he was injury prone and he got a bad rap in the media and the organization for some stupid reason.

Jim McMahon wasn't that great a QB. He got it done when he had to but any QB with a pro-bowl offensive line, legendary HOF running back and speedy recievers would do at least as well.

That Bears team was a texbook example of each player fitting perfectly together. McMahon could not have taken an 8-8 team and made them a Super Bowl threat, but he was exactly perfect for that offense.

The Bears have had some "interesting" QBs through the years. Can anybody say Bobby Douglas?

McMahon, T-Zak, and Flutie. Can you believe which one is still playing?

I have been saying that forever. Even McMahon was not exactly hall of fame material. He was blessed to be on a team where he was surrounded by good teamates. If you look before him, you'd be hard pressed to find another good Bears QB.

Oh I know, I just wasn't one of them. He wasn't a good OC, but his offense was 10 times better then this Bears attack. He did thing with Matthews/Jim Miller and suffered through plenty of injuries. No one can really tell me he had that many more weapons then Shea, if anymore weapons than Shea cause he had to suffer through numerous injuries the past couple years.

Not even close.  Shea has been handcuffed by having two horrible back up QBs, terrible WR's, and an injury depleted O-line.  Bill Walsh himself couldn't coach this sorry-assed bunch.

Now I ask you this, John Shoop had a decent offense the year the Bears made the playoffs and he did things with lousy qb's, Atrain was always going down injured and the Bears receiving core was nothing with the exception of Marty Booker. The Bears also have had banged up oline the past couple years anyway.

I don't accept excuses. I could see if these plays weren't working but he's calling absolutely garbage plays.

For example he alwyas calls that stupid running play with the fake reverse. Problem is the Bears maybe actually run the reverse once or twice a game on average, so the other 8-10 times you run the play your telling the entire team that its going to be a run and they can be better prepared for it.

Shea's play calls are garbage. Its as if he has no pattern or idea of what he's going to go. Pieced together his game plan is just TERRIBLE.

right now our offense has looked mightily ugly but back when grossman was healthy we moved the ball fine.... Although im not a big fan of Shea due to injuries and the players being new to the system im willing to give him another year but if our offense is this pitiful next year regardless if grossman gets injured again or not Shea has to be canned.
