Texsox
I am trashing two computers and pulling parts along with a new mobo and CPU and building a new system with #1 son. Everything was moving along until yesterday when the system really started to slow down. The OS on the hard drive we kept was an unstable copy of ME. I decided to uninstall ME, with the thought of upgrading to XP. Midway through the uninstall the system crashed, now it wants an emergeny startup disk. Problem is the emergency startup disk is a Compaq and the disk shuts down because it isn't in a current Compaq computer. Any tips? I need to boot, but it is missing the system.ini
