Dick Allen
George is making the minimum, and its worth it to see if he can play. IMO, this is more a tryout for next year. If George can still play, and that is a HUGE if, he's a much better option as a back up than Quinn, Krenzel, and Hutchinson. Hutchinson must really suck if they are still afraid to put him in the game, after the performance of the first 2 clowns. Sometimes you appreciate things a little more after they are taken away from you, and maybe George appreciates football now, and won't be the cancer he has been in the past. CrimsonWeltall
It's worth a try. 10-30, 100 yards, 1TD, 2 INT, 1 fumble a game isn't cutting it. The guy has talent, he was just an assclown. If he got his act together, he could be a productive QB.
CWSGuy406
Hey...if St. Louis and New York lose today the Bears are 1 game out of the Wild Card... Ugh... Why is the NFC such a f***ing tease this year? If this team could have played .500 football for this whole season, we'd be in the playoffs. Injuries really are a b****... It also made it crystal clear that we had no backup that was worth a damn. The losses on defense wouldn't have been nearly as bad if we had an O that could keep them off the field for more than 5 minutes in a whole game. /exaggerating the 5 minute thing but not by much. MurcieOne
IF Rex Grossman is still the QB of this team..... i say you can reverse that record and were prolly 7-4 or 6-5.... and looking at a playoff berth in a weak NFC.
EvilJester99
The Bears probably should have tried this 4 or 5 weeks ago... now its pointless. Maybe George can show these guys something other than how to fight with your coaches....

This move isn't for 2004, its for 2005 to see if George can be the veteran back up the Bears need.
MurcieOne
If the two year nobody wants you era for Jeff George didnt work for Jeff George than nothing will. He's a talented QB... and lets hope he takes his LAST CHANCE in the NFL seriously and tries maybe mentoring Chad Craig and Rex to keep earning that paycheck.
