You're right, but I don't think they stand much of a chance to recoup that money. I liked Rotoworld's take on this: "This decision is about an organization and the fans that support it," Rockies chairman Charles Monfort said. "Denny's pattern of behavior has not been consistent with what our organization represents." Yeah. The Rockies in 2001 signed a player (Bobby Chouinard) who was arrested for beating his wife and holding a gun to her head, but what Neagle did crossed the line.
