Queen Prawn
Fire Downtown This is about 1 block from where my dad works (at work now - he's a night janitor...er...maintenance engineer lol).
Molto
a block or two away from my work/office ... pretty crazy.
southsider2k5
Even the walk to work was interesting this morning. They still have large stretches of Clark, LaSalle, and Adams closed off to pedestrians and motorists. Tons of Chicago's finest standing in the rains, all pissy to be there. Kris (Of K & M) is in disaster mode since that's her building. They were rerouted to somewhere off Hubbard. Should be an interesting few months for those 3000 employees.. I am just happy to see no one was hurt this time.
Rex Kickass
37 were hurt, no dead though - which is a good thing. They say that high rise fire deaths are extremely rare - The Cook County office disaster is an anomaly.

Rex Kickass
Being on the east coast, the only reports I got were from CNN, they didn't differentiate - but I got the feeling - nobody critical.
