Guest JimH
It seems like Levine is getting better and better at avoiding questions. Wills had to press him on whether the Sox are going to get a starter via trade or FA. Bruce keeps coming back to White Sox interest in Javier Vazquez, via the 3 way trade. Wills brought up both Jaret Wright and Wilson Alvarez ... Alvarez being a swing guy, a Sean Lowe type who can relieve and spot start. He commented on Alvarez knowing a lot of the Sox players, and Guillen. I heard the same thing as WHarris, Levine thinks there's a good chance something happens with Vazquez, RJ, etc. over the next 5-6 days. Dick Allen
Levine reiterated the potential Vazquez 3 way, said his sources told him Boras gave the White Sox MRIs on Magg's knee. Wills mentioned the Sox may be interested in Willie Alvarez as a long reliever spot starter swing man.

Wise Master Buehrle
Lots of people like the fact that they don't have to search a million threads to find the information that they are looking for. That's why the bigger subject threads are so popular here. A million? Try 5 new threads a day, at the most. I like being able to see my information, right in front me me, in the form of thread titles, instead of going through 16 (which is how many it tells me) pages of information for something. The Beast
I was thinking about calling in, but I didn't want to just yell and not get a point across. God dammit, we can't even afford a foulking infielder at 2,000,000+

God dammit, we can't even afford a foulking infielder at 2,000,000+ Why would you need to yell in the first place? Even if you are pissed off, yelling at a couple of radio hosts won't get you anywhere anyway. Besides you will get a lot further if you come up with a calm rational thought, versus coming off as a raving lunatic.

southsider2k5
If anything we should have it both ways. Personally I have never minded the duplicate threads within reason. Some people it bothers... meh, whatever. The whole point of the site it to diseminate information. >Whatever it takes to do that is cool with me. Wise Master Buehrle
Do we really need a seperate thread about Al Levine and Esteban Yan becoming free agents? Esteban Yan would have made a good "what if we picked up this guy..." kind of thread. Levine, I wouldn't understand if anyone did post something on him. Why would anyone want him? The Beast
Clement, likely to get arbitration from Cubs, may sign with Cleveland or Philly... White Sox too, but you know how that goes. Staying on the subject of cubs, go get your coffee and come back in 5 minutes.

The Beast
Ross ... lots of things will happen over the next 6 weeks. Restless fans who are too excited and disappointed at the same time, Jim, like me. Ordonez being gone is going to be hard on me. And if we don't get someone better than Harris, I'm going to be extremely angry if they don't. But your right. 6 weeks.
Punch and Judy Garland
I saw the fabled triumvirate of Fassero/Yan/Borbon work out really nicely for the Cardinals in 03. I wouldn't touch Yan with someone else's ten foot pole.

thomsonmi
Patience is required here. It's only December 7. I don't always agree with KW's moves but I do believe he's working his ass off to better the team. If KW has any weakness its that he gives too much and is too eager to make a deal (a trait that continues to concern me.) KW does not sit pat because he wants to. The Beast
Lots of Cub turds calling in. :rolly Pisses me off because just a few years ago, it was a majority White Sox station, where you rarely heard from Chicago Cub fans. Blah, this makes me sick.

Punch and Judy Garland
I am not all over KW yet. He's got to do something by the Thursday before Soxfest or things are going to get VERY interesting. Either way I'll have plenty of fun. We eitehr walk around optimistic for three days or we get stuff off our collective chests at the Q and A. I think they try to bring in Hawk as a way to keep the fans in a good mood but that didn't work out so well last year. I wonder if KW would come down with a "throat ailment".
