He's probably been a long time closet sox fan. Bring him on. That would explain why Hawk always says good things about Pyrz. As far as him in SF. The first month their was that report that the pitching staff didn't like him. I remember reading later in the year that it was one pitcher, things were cleared up, and that the writer really blew the whole thing out of proportion. He was pretty much made the scapegoat in SF. Since it seems the Twins have their catching duo they will be out of it. The Dodgers would go after him I would think. I think it would come down to the Sox and Dodgers if the Sox were interested. Doesn't have the experience of Matheny but can handle the bat (won't come near this past season offensively) but to me I see no reason for Matheny. Either make a drastic upgrade or no upgrade. Agreeed, in getting Matheny there is no upgrade, stick with what we have. We should have made the upgrade to catcher last year when I-rod was on the Market.
