IlliniKrush
Sorry if this has been posted before, i must have missed it. Anyway, who would you vote for and why? My pick is Peterson. The whole Freshman bias thing is bullcrap. I think he was the most valuable player in college football because he stepped it up in big games (okla st and texas 200+ yards) and made Jason White even better than he is. I also think Leinart gets a bit too much credit for the number he puts up in an offense-first pac 10 with a ridiculous amount of weapons on that team. Chisoxfn
Haha, I was just in the midst of posting this same poll Personally I'm going with Jason White. Put up great numbers and came threw late in the season and the voters all will of noticed Leinart having a subpar day against UCLA while White had a fantastic game. My 2nd choice would be Peterson who was absolutely amazing for OU.
danman31
Reggie Bush is the best player in college football. He will split the western votes with Leinart and it should then fall to Peterson.
IlliniKrush
Yeah, the White-Peterson is kinda like the chicken or the egg dilemna, if you know what i mean. Which one opens the field up for the other more?

Purdue129
I'd vote Peterson because like Krush said, he carried them in their toughest games, but I bet White gets it again. Is Alex Smith going to be in NYC for the presentation? Asking, b/c ESPN makes it seem like it's only the 2 USC guys and 2 OU guys.
Chisoxfn
Yeah, the White-Peterson is kinda like the chicken or the egg dilemna, if you know what i mean. Which one opens the field up for the other more? Had White not been so good last year, I would of went with Peterson based on the belief that Peterson helped open things up for him this year. However, White did a hell of a job last year and did it again this year. So I'm assuming the running back, while its definately helpful to White, wasn't the reason he put up good numbers again. Peterson is the reason why I think OU is gonna win the national championship though. White/Peterson is an unbeliavable combo. Reggie Bush is possibly the most explosive football player in college football though.

Two heisman's for a guy who might not win a national championship, that's a tough accomplishment.
IlliniKrush
I think Oklahoma has a better chance to win that game because of their defense, and their offensive line.
Chisoxfn
Nah, I think its just 4 guys going to NYC. Bush/Leinart; Peterson/White

Oh ya, OU's defense should help controll USC's offense as best as possible, but at the same time USC's one major weakness is their rush defense, imo, and having Peterson is going to prove a major factor. Still, I look for this game to be oustanding, kind of like the Miami-OSU game a couple years back.
Spiff
How about none of them? I'm tired of the Heisman going to the most popular player on the best team. J.J. Arrington had more yards than Peterson and Bush. Jason Campbell had a better passer rating than Leinart and White. The Heisman is just a product of hype, it's not about determining the best player. And then people wonder why Heisman winners stink in the pros.
CanOfCorn
Cedric Benson. Slow and Steady wins the race.

Spiff
So who should win Spiff? Let's switch it up and say Alex Barron.
Purdue129
Two heisman's for a guy who might not win a national championship, that's a tough accomplishment. My thoughts exactly. I just see Leinart and Bush splitting votes and people shying away from Peterson b/c of him being a Freshman, which would give it to White. Brian
Peterson should be the unanimous choice, but being a freshmen will hurt him...unfortunatly!

Palehosefan
I would have to go with Alex Smith as who I think should win. But White has his second all but wrapped up in my opinion.
