Wise Master Buehrle
Even more of a reason to try and get Shea Hillenbrand. They have that Chad Tracy guy, who I guess they want to play at 1st now. My question, why are they signing big free agents when they're so heavily in debt? Butter Parque
Maybe they should try and get some pitching to go along with RJ instead of over-paying for overrated players.
Hatchetman
if he can play 3rd, he isn't overrated.
kane0730
I'm glad the Tigers didn't get him.
Punch and Judy Garland
they say that shoulder won't hold up at 3rd. I just don't get this signing either. Also, I'm not mr. obp but Shea walks less than DJ ever did.
MurcieOne
I heard Greg Walker on the score last night, and he said that they figured out what was wrong with Crede's swing... I still have faith in Joe... I say give him atleast another year.

If the D'backs have no room for SHea, he'd be a great addon to a possible 3 way trade and a great bench player as a backup for GLoad and a backup for Crede if either faulter. He would be making quite a bit for a bench player though.
AnthraxFan93
Why do we want Shea H? That makes no sense.. I rather the sox go after Nick Johnson, and we both know how much I love nick Johnson
thomsonmi
I'd rather give Crede another year and use the money we have left in the budget to sign a middle infielder. We know Crede is solid as a fielder so he's not a complete liability. With Frank back healthy, this lineup will be solid with or without a big year from Crede offensively. YASNY
Crede gets another year to prove himself. No doubt.

Wanne
Waaaaaaaaaaaay too much money for Glaus. They don't even know if he'll be healthy.
Wong & Owens
You look at Glaus' ridiculous numbers in 2000-2002, and then his trend downward, and I have to wonder if he isn't another juiced player. I am going on nothing but a hunch here, just to be clear.
Punch and Judy Garland
I see what you are saying with his numbers but he still showed a lot of power in early 04 and even when he came back around the playoffs. I could be in the minority but I just don't think that many players are on the juice at this very moment. I look at the homer totals below 50 to come to that conclusion. Chisoxfn
Absolutely stupid siging. I like Glaus, but he was worth nothing more then 8. He can't hit for any type of average and while capable defensively, he's prone to way too many lapses. Garbage move by the Dbacks, especially when you take his health into consideration. witesoxfan
Why do we want Shea H? That makes no sense.. I rather the sox go after Nick Johnson, and we both know how much I love nick Johnson Because Nick Johnson can't play 3B, and because Shea Hillenbrand would not start here, but rather come off the bench and play 1B and 3B. Gene Honda Civic
Hillenbrand is going to be non-tendered. Glaus will end up at 1st -- he has no knees.

I would really look into hillenbrand if that is the case. He would do pretty damn well here i believe. Might add to his power numbers a little also.
