LosMediasBlancas
Anyone hearing the Cubs are in talks with Boras about Maggs for 1 year?? He will supposedly either replace Sammy, if they can unload him on the Mets or he will play left to replace Alou. All the Cubs fans in my office are all geeked up about it. Yoda
I haven’t heard anyone in the Cubs organization having any interest in Maggs though they may have thought about getting him. I can tell you this. If I see Magglio in the Chicago Cubs starting lineup for next season than I will puke my guts out. He’s a great player but I just don’t want to see the “Oooh ehhh ohhhh” chant in the Urinal.
Tjones
Hmm... I think maggs will do worse than strikeout sammy this year with all his secret surgerys
Steff
No one, especially an NL team, is going to gamble on anyone for $10 million that they have not seen run, jump, squat, sit, stay, roll over, etc, etc... Boras up to his old "I got an offer.. can you beat it" bulls***.

southsider2k5
There is one way Maggs becomes a Cub. If they offer him the most guarenteed money per year.

LosMediasBlancas
The plot thickens, Bruce Levine said last night that 'after a Jan. open workout, don't be surprised to see Maggs playing left field for the Cubs'. The Cubs are rumored to be upping their payrioll to over 100 mil, so I belive there would be room for Maggs for a year even if they get stuck with Sammy. Maggs said going to the Cubs would be 'really, really, nice.'
EvilJester99
If Mags signs with the Scrubs, I will not listen to sports talk radio anymore or hardly read the papers because all the f***ing cubbie love will make me want to puke!! I hear ya, but really it would be far worse if he went to a team within our division.
Rex Kickass
Let them have the whiny stars? I just want to win - and after this year, I got the impression that he was after "his" rather than the "teams."
