Just keep in mind that the Twins have made the playoffs the last 4 years with 1 maybe 2 players with over 80 RBIs. Our hitting still would not be bad just vulnerable to injuries.

They play small ball, which is needed to win close games.. IF we could do that they HELL FA_KING YEAH

My biggest consern

1. Who plays 2b

2. Who Plays SS

3. Who leads off

This seems very foolish to me.

I believe our team would be more talented but it's not good spending of our offseason money.

If Kenny really wants/wanted vazquez and gordon, why didnt he sign them last season???

And Vazquez's value is drastically down from before. It would be a very foolish move, if you are planning on trading garland, you could find much better value than this. I like konerko but with his 8 million salary(I believe he wouldve gotten 8-10 million this year as a free agent) it is somewhat of a push.

I would definetely do the hudson trade. I see no value in Willie Harris, there are other teams that do. He really has no potential and would be happy to rid him for this great value.

Carlos Lee is replacable. We have Everett,Rowand, and Dye. That is a descent outfield IMO and we have 2 top outfield prospects coming up through are system as is.

So looking toward the future(4-6 years) are outfield could look like this-Sweeney, Anderson, Rowand.

Looking 2-3 years-Dye,Rowand,Anderson

This would be the best trade since, well, this would be their best trade ever.

2-3 year rotation

1.Tim Hudson

2.Mark Buehrle

3.Brandon McCarthy

4.Freddy Garcia

5.Jose Contreras/minor leaguer that somehow pulled through/future free agent pitcher

That rotation makes me cry.

1.Randy Johnson

2.Tim Hudson

3.Mark Buehrle

4.Freddy Garcia

5.Jose Contreras

This rotation makes me faint.

We lose konerko, lee, and harris-gaining RJ and hudson

Our only replacement we would need to get would be a 1b and we would lose 7 million total from these 2 trades combined.

The fact that this is a possibility makes me love the offseason.

I'd only make one of those trades. We can't trade Lee AND Konerko without getting some kind of power back. If Frank got hurt again, we'd be completely f***ed.

That rotation makes me say yes, however I do agree that they would have to get another competent bat in the line-up.... so if the Yankees are eating some of Vazquez contract than that is fine with me...

I agree that rotation would be great - not that it's going to happen, I'd just be a little concerned about scoring some runs.

Don't worry Folks, We can get Jay Gibbons Cheap and he would fit into our lineup nicely..

LHB is very needed and can play 1st.

Gibbons is cheap for a reason, i would rather stick with gload, anyone know how much delgado is looking at to get a season, and could we get brown for less $$$ than jav and sign delgado?

Vazquez wasn't a free agent. He had one year left and the Expos traded him, then the Yankees gave him an extension. Yankees overpaid for Gordon and could possibly throw in some $$$ with the trade to offset costs.

They know how to play small ball, the sox on the other hand don't have a clue what that is.

Please see my previous post about the Twins and their lack of "Power Hitters".

I did see that post - unfortunately I also saw the attempts by this Sox roster to play a little "small ball" last year - They Sucked Balls. What is so different about this years roster that makes you believe they are capable of playing "Twins" ball? Especially when the only player with real speed - Harris, would be gone in one of the trades you proposed.

you dont need that much run production with pitching like that. Look at the way we have been leading the AL in runs and homeruns for years, and yet............nothing. If you want to try something else, having the best pitching staff in the bigs would do just that. And if that doesnt work for us, then we can start over with a new GM, and some new prospects and gut the team. BUt I think we should at least try another direction, and I think that this is it
