3E8
I saw a couple of the games he pitched last year, and I can't say I was too impressed. His stuff is very ordinary. Might be an "OK", cheap 5th starter. I 'm not sold on him though. I watched him dominate the Cubs two times last year, mabye that's why I'm so high on him! southsider2k5
Trade Lee and Diaz to Milwaukee for Doug Davis and SPod Fixes our holes, gives Milwaukee a good start to the future, and a legit run producer. Might have to throw in another prospect. Ah our little troll, at it again...
witesoxfan
His stuff is very ordinary. You mean like Buehrle?
Wise Master Buehrle
Ah our little troll, at it again... I didn't see any trolling in that post...
DBAHO
Milwaulkee won't be trading for Lee, considering they already have Geoff Jenkins in LF and he's making about $8,500,000 this season I believe. And I'd like to see Diaz stick around, he'll hav a future somewhere on this team whether it's as a 5th starter or a relief man in the pen. Texsox
Overhead on a Chicago expressway . . . "Bossman, I got nothing to fill that pot hole" "Just dig another hole where no one goes and hope for the best." To fill these holes, without creating new, we need one of two things to happen 1. Fill them via free agency. That would most likely take a payroll increase. 2. Someone in the organization to have a RoY season Marlin's won with Willis lighting up the league. We do not have the payroll to just load up on MLB proven talent. We need guys to catch fire and perform out their asses. Pray some of these guys find a magic spell. southsideirish
Why are people always bringing up Cairo. I don't want to see that guy on our roster ever. Did we give up on signing Polanco? Did KW say something to the effect that we have no interest in him or that we can't sign him? Polanco would be the perfect addition to our team at 2B. Can we get Hinske and Lilly for Konerko? Lilly would be, at the very least, a great 5th starter. With the Jays hot after Canadian native Corey Koskie and the loss of Carlos Delgado that makes them open at 1B for Konerko and a surplus at 3B for us to get Hinske. They just seem like the perfect trade partners for us. Wold they throw Lilly in as well for a 40 + HR hitting 1st baseman? I don't believe it is out of the realm of possibilities. I would then move Carlos from LF to 1B and play Everett in LF. Unless we can sign a Catalanatto or something like that. We would then have starting roster of: C Ben Davis 1B Carlos Lee 2B Placido Polanco 3B Eic Hinske SS Juan Uribe RF Jermaine Dye CF Aaron Rowand LF Carl Everett DH Frank Thomas, until he gets back maybe Ross Gload or Rogowski if he is ready If they determine that Anderson or Sweeney is ready then we could trade Carlos for SP Randy Johnson or Javier Vasquez and still have a pretty good lineup. We could then put Everett/Gload at 1B/DH and have an OF of Dye in LF, Anderson in CF, and Rowand in RF. Then we would have a pitching rotation of: Johnson/Vazquez Freddy Garcia Mark Buehrle Ted Lilly Jose Contreras and a starting roster of: C Ben Davis 1B/DH Carl Everett/Ross Gload, When Frank comes back he is DH, Everett 1B 2B Placido Polanco 3B Eic Hinske SS Juan Uribe RF Aaron Rowand CF Brian Anderson LF Jermaine Dye We would definately have our share of hoagies and grinders on this team. Isn't that what KW and Oz wanted? Grinders? Good Pitching Good fielding? Hustle?
YASNY
Why would you replace Crede with Hinski. They hit about the same, but Crede can actually play the position.
