Southside hitmen
Heard a report on by Tim Kurjkin saying that the Whitesox are talking to Tampa Bay about Aubrey Huff and Toby Hall
CWSGuy406
From where did you hear this? ESPNNews, ESPNRadio? Hall isn't much better than what we have now at C, but a lot of people on this board (including me) really like Huff. I wonder what interests Tampa Bay that we have... greasywheels121
His first post was.... Ken Rosenthal was on sporting news radio yesterday and reported that the Sox and Pitt are talking about Jon Garland and several high prospects including B Anderson& R Sweeney for Craig Wilson&Oliver Perez. Has this been reported in Chicago as well..

Southside hitmen
He was on WQYK ESPN radio 1010 yesterday afternoon mention that Charles Johnson might be the new C of the Devilrays and than he reported that the Rays are talking to the Wsox about Hall and Huff
GreenSox
Toby Hall can't hit a lick - no thanks. Huff, I like! Re the Pirates - those are 2 decent, not great, major leaguers; I wouldn't give up the farm for those

juddling
E-mailing back and forth with a friend of mine in Florida, he was saying that the D-Rays are looking for 1B help so maybe they would be interested in Paulie K. Huff would be a good addition in anyone's outfield but Hall is a waste of space. As a few others said....he's no better than what we have and i think he would be a small step down from Davis. Maybe with the emergence of there SS prospect last year (can't remember his name) maybe they would trade someone like Julio Lugo. He's a middle infielder who can play short or second and he's got a pretty good arm and got good range and speed. Bat isn't the greatest but he'll be better than what we had there last year. juddling **quick check Lugo hit .275 last year 41 doubles 4 triples, 7 HR 75 RBI and 21 stolen bases. OBP was .394**

Learn how to read loser The Rays are looking to unload money so thats why Huff and Hall are on the trading block...

That's BJ Upton you're thinking of. Also, Lugo would be nice, but I can think of others who I'd want more.
winninguglyin83
I thought Lugo was a free agent. And tampa always thinks cheap. Send them Joey B. Then if he doesn't work out, he could play QB for the Bucs.
farmteam
I was more envisioning a trade with the Bears where they get Borchard and the Sox get Hutchinson. Sounds good to me!
SkokieSox
Doesnt Huff play 3b? Pk, and Joe for Huff and Hall?? That's not even funny.
winninguglyin83
just checked. rays offered Lugo arbitration, but they want to get rid of him because they are afraid he will be awarded at least $3.5 millioni he is available.
GreenSox
Lugo is definately on the market. Lugo is a horrible baseball player - he can't catch. I get the Astro games down here, and he was just terrible with them - just terrible.

qwerty
Doesnt Huff play 3b? Pk, and Joe for Huff and Hall?? Makes no sense that they would want to trade him. He can play 1st, 3rd, right field, and a little left field. He is also signed to one of the more affordable contracts for the numbers he puts up. GreenSox
He is not ''terrible.'' Yes he is; I saw him play for several years with the Astros - he's an awful shortstop. Lots of errors (seemingly in the late innings) and marginal range
