CWSGuy406
IIRC, the non-tender date is also coming up (December 20th???), and I'm interested if anyone has a list or something that shows the players who have the chance, this week, to be tendered a contract or non-tendered...? And, as a follow-up to that question, which ones might the White Sox have interest in? I know Kenny has said that FA signings are pretty much done, but I've got to believe that if Kenny sees something he likes (I'm talking four million or less), that he'll jump on it. Some names that we've already discussed here are Schoenewies (If that selfish attitude is gone, I'd definitely like him. He was the best starter at the beginning of the season, and he'd be a nice fifth starter fill-in/reliever type of a guy), Alex Cora, AJ Piersinski (spelled incorrectly there), and Wade Miller (definitely a guy I'd like to see the Sox jump on if he's non-tendered). I think all of those above guys would be nice pickups, but under the radar, are there any other guys who this team could use?
chisox2334
Okay im not meaning to be a you know what. But kenny has stated for us make any pickups we need to trade
chisox2334
When has reinsdorf decided to that. Say we want clement renteria or maybe just a guy can pitch in 5th starter spot. Reinsdorf wont up it other than getting maybe a vetrean 2b

White Sox | Room For Payroll Wiggle If Necessary - from www.KFFL.com Sat, 11 Dec 2004 23:54:49 -0800 According to The Chicago Tribune's Bob Foltman, the Chicago White Sox are approaching their $72 million budget for next season, but White Sox general manager Kenny Williams did not rule out owner Jerry Reinsdorf raising the payroll if the situation were right. "The one thing I know about Reinsdorf is he wants to win," Williams said. "If there is something very attractive to us to a degree that it obviously makes sense to us, I know that if I take it to him, he will consider it." Heads22
Wow, Alex Cora would be nice.
greasywheels121
Wow, Alex Cora would be nice. It can't hurt having his big bro as the 3B coach.
CanOfCorn
It can't hurt having his big bro as the 3B coach. The Dodgers are probably waiting on Beltre. If Beltre signs with someone else, kent will play third. and they'll need Cora. Or if they given up on Hee Seop...Kent will play first...and they'll need Cora. I think it all hinges on Beltre. But i'd love him as our starting 2b.
AnthraxFan93
Beltre, supposely has a deal with Seattle in place..Seattle is going to have might nice team with Beltre and Sexson/Delgado on the corners. Ichrio, Winn and Reed in the OF, and a nice pitching staff..
Cleats67
I would guess that Kenny has his eye on Jarrod Washburn of the Angels. Likely to be non-tendered and KW has always liked him. Likely to be our number 5.

Likely to be our number 5. doesn't walk a lot of batters...decent career ERA (4.07), but gives up a lot of home runs. Only thing i don't like about him. But a rotation of Buehrle Garcia Contreras Garland Washburn would be ok with me.
upnorthsox
No way he gets non-tendered but he's definitely available. We'd most likely have to move someone to afford him though.
Indywallin
Washburn would be a solid Number 5, but Wade Miller would not only be a better fit, he'd be your #3.
