qwerty
1)I said IF he is in the deal. 2) how do you know he is not the player to be named? Do you know this? Rotoworld says so and mac jurko and harry have said so 100 times.
qwerty
Repeating ... ESPN1000 said the player to be named is not a minor leaguer. Why assume it's not Ginter? Just because you think it has to be a minor leaguer? Let's wait and see. I am willing to bet that the player to be named later is not a majopr league player. I don't care what they have to say. Who was the last player to be named later that was on a major league roster?
Guest JimH
Maybe they want to make sure they can sign him for another year before they pick Two different pieces of info from two radio stations tq. Doesn't Rosenthal's piece say the PTBNL will be a major leaguer?
jackie hayes
ESPN1000 said the player to be named is not a minor leaguer. Could be lots of reasons why they wouldn't announce the 3rd player right away. Maybe the Sox don't have room on the 40 man? And they need to move somebody before the 3rd guy is announced? Actually, didn't GHC say the 40-man was full already? So how are we getting both Pods and Vizcaino for 1 ML?

whitesoxin'
Why the hell isn't this even on rotoworld yet? Or, mlb.com? Or espn.com? I know it hasn't been announced yet, but wouldn't they have just the rumors somewhere other than radio sources? Steff -- is this all true, from what you're hearing? It's on Rotoworld... Go to MLB headlines, it probably has the NFL on default.

EvilJester99
They also said on MJH that the Sox saved nearly 7 million in this deal... if thats true I hopeful there will be more news coming soon. JMO
Yoda
Not I'm not dumb. Wins are a lot more important than ERA. What the f***!? What if there was a pitcher with a 10-2 record but had a 8.28 ERA? Don’t tell me you’d want that SP because the only reason he has that winning record is because he’s probably with a team that scores a lot. Just because you think it has to be a minor leaguer? Let's wait and see. IMHO, the deal hinges on how good the PTBNL is. If it's, in fact, Ginter, I'll be pretty happy. Ginter absolutely crushes left-handers, and if you platoon him at Harris at secondbase, you have a very good platoon there. One that should give you a .380 OBP, or right around there. It's all about the PTBNL, because as of right now, I'm not very happy at all with this deal...
Guest JimH
Rotoworld says so and mac jurko and harry have said so 100 times. WOW, Rotoworld. The authority. Did M,J+H say for sure that Ginter will not be in the deal? Or have they just said Pods, Viz, and a player to be named? Sorry for the questions, I'm not near a radio. Dick Allen
u r dumb. Do u not understand that if he were on the sox last year, he would of had like 18 wins? based on ur logic RJ blows cuz hes basically a .500 SP (16-14) RJ was on a team that lost 111 games . Clement was on a team that won MORE games than the White Sox and he had only 9 wins. How do you come up with 18 wins if he was on a worse team? How do you possibly think Clement is worth $9 million a year? Please refrain from calling me dumb anymore.

Just because you think it has to be a minor leaguer? Let's wait and see. Well then, what's the point of not naming him? We get our pick of players and aren't sure who we want? Usually PTBNL comes off of a list of minor leaguers Maybe this will be different

Go look at his run support for the 3rd time. If he had better support he would have won 15 easily.
SoxFan562004
I'm in the line of thinking that we have tried the power line-up approach for 4 years and have won jack s*** so I like this move... will absolutely love it if KW actually uses the 7-10m he may have to add more! Flash Tizzle
Is something wrong with WSI? I was interested in guaging various opinions on this trade and couldn't access the site. Having a website crash on a day such as this--pure travesty.
Guest JimH
i agree Jim, they are working out some deal. I truly think the 40 man has alot to do with it. I guess I am stupid for thinking this might be the case. I just report what I hear, and that was the player to be named is a major leaguer. I could care less if most PTBNL are minor leaguers, that means s***. We need to wait and see before crucifying this deal, or going on a limb and praising it.
