CanOfCorn
Yeah but I would not have given up lee to get him, this is another KW f***-up..Lets see what scrub we can get for a pitcher as well.. The only way this makes sense They Sign Orlando Caberea and move Uribe to 2b, Then Sign a SP... You're a lying assmunch.... Evidence --- http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=523864 Trade Lee and Diaz to Milwaukee for Doug Davis and SPod Fixes our holes, gives Milwaukee a good start to the future, and a legit run producer. Might have to throw in another prospect. You were willing to give up Diaz too. :fyou W00t!!!

Elcaballo45
Um, so does this make me a Brewer fan? Cause Carlos was one of the main reason's I watch every game. Not saying I'm switching because of one player, but my God, I would have hoped to get a hell of a lot more than a .260 hitter with lots of speed. I love Podsednik, don't get me wrong, but him and Vizcaino? That's it? This is going to take a while to get over.... :puke

Elcaballo45
You are being generous. Well, I figured his rookie year he was above .
SoxFanForever
Take his good year and his not so good year averages Qwerty. That is still .279. I really think he can hit somewhere in the neighborhood of .265-.270.
Indywallin
There has to be more to come, there just has to be! SPod can run, but wow the Sox gave up a lot of power and RBI's. I still think a new SS will be here and Uribe will play 2B. KW definitely looking to build a team around defense, solid pitching and more speed that the ChiSox of recent years. fathom
I read on baseball primer that the ptbnl might be Mitch Stetter, a reliever who had a 1.70 era in their minors. Does anyone know anything about him or if this is true?

I don't believe we're not done yet; I think we'll solidify that rotation finally. However, I totally understand. I'm more of a fan of the team than I am of any player anymore, but if Frank were to ever leave this team before his career was over. Oh man. I have to of said this fifty times, he is a career .265 hitters in the minors, There is a reason why he was not given consisten playing time in the majors until he was 27-28. Sure he can steal alot od bases, but what else can he do well? No one is gonna convince me podsednik does not suck. If he has a .340 obp it will be acceptable i guess but anything lower than that me no likey.

They are suppose to be one of the best hitters on your team and should be able to get on if their protection is 8 henry blanco's.

jackie hayes
I feel SPod will have a better OBP this year than he did in 2004. Even if it stays the same (hopefully not), his basestealing helps make up for it. The difference between a .313 OBP and a .350 OBP is 3 more times on base a month. Considering how often Podsednik was up, closer to 4.5. But by similar logic, the obp difference between Pods and Valentin is trivial. These small differences matter, IMO.
