This jsut came to me after reading the one about us getting AJ burnett

make that trade for AJ getting rid of Pauly and Garland

Then

Trade Uribe BMac and anderson/sweeney

for Hudson

Sign

Delgado and

GULP

Polanco ..Yes I said it, I going to hell

Rotation

Tim Hudson

Freddy G

Mark B

Aj

Contreas

The bullpen is the same

Lineup

LF Spod

SS Polanco

cf A-rowand

1b Delgado

DH Everett/Thomas

RF Dye

3b Crede

C Davis/Burke

2b Harris

Tell me you all would not like this lineup and Rotation

With the money saved on trading pauly, Lee and Garland we should be able to sign hudson to a longterm deal, since Thomas and Everett would be off the books in 06.

sooooooo What do u think?

Uribe, B-Mac and 1 of Anderson or Sweeney is majorly overpaying for 1 year of Tim Hudson possibly. Willie Harris and B-Mac should beat LA's offer of Antonio Perez and Edwin Jackson straight up in my mind.

That is why we with the extra money and sign him from thoams, Lee, Pauly, everett and Garland.

Realistically if the Sox want Hudson, the money is there for him to sign a long term extension. With the contracts of Thomas and Konerko alone off the books at the end of next season, that's about a $13 million saving, which should be easily be enough to resign Huddy to a 4 year deal. But no way do we trade Uribe, he could be Miggy Tejada like in a couple of years. Willie Harris, now he's expendable with the addition of Podsednik.

I take it you don't think they will pick up franks option at the end of the year?

No I don't, although I do believe one of Konerko or Thomas will be back in 2006, it just depends on which one comes at the right price. We all know Frank thinks he's undervalued, although he may not think that after he probably has a sub par 2005.

Doesn't Frank still have a player option? Would he not exercise that? I'm not familiar with his contract, famous as it is....

I believe he had a player option for $8 mill for this season which he picked up. I then think the team has a $9 mill option on him for 2006, or they can buy him out for $3 mill.

2003: $5.0M

2004: Dual option $6.0M player/$8.0M team

2005: Dual option $8.0M player/$11.0M team

2006: Dual option $10.0M player/$12.0M team or $3.5M buyout

-Player receives $1M loan and can void deal after 2003

-Can receive up to $2M in bonuses for top 10 MVP finish
