Stocking
after hearing KW stall, chuckle, and be scarastic when asked about signing clement He is laughing because MC isnt worth the $$$ he is being offered. I vote no, nor do i want him at $7million a year.
YASNY
Clement rumored to be in the $9 million per year catagory. I don't think we'll get him.

I think that will go down a little but it will still be too much for the white sox.

fathom
I would like to add Clement to this staff, but I really don't like our chances going against teams with big wallets like the Red Sox and Angels. If he doesn't pick the White Sox, I hope he makes his mind up quickly so that KW doesn't put all his hopes on signing him.
Gene Honda Civic
I think it will be Odalis Perez, not Clement
DBAHO
I think it will be Odalis Perez, not Clement If it is, we're going to have to beat the Mets, but if they get Pedro things could change there. Washington did offer him 3 years $20 mill and Jim Bowden didn't think that would be enough either. The only other starters I can think of on the market are Eric Milton and Paul Byrd, and they are both extreme flyball pitchers I think. Milton is overated and way too expensive for the numbers he is gonna put up.

Frankly I think Cleveland might actually wind up with Milton depending on which direction they take with their infielders. His agents won't budge on his demand of $8 mil for 3 years, which is crazy I guess, but logical considering the current market for FA pitching (Thank you very much Fred Wilpon, Omar Minaya and Kris Benson). Than can have milton for free as long as we get to hit against him every series. Just as long as they do not get clement i will be pretty happy. YASNY
Cleveland was priced out the Jaret Wright market. They aren't going to sign Milton or Clement, as both will command more.
Gene Honda Civic
I think Odalis will come for the going rate of 3/$21M They can structure that, $6M,7M,8M, maybe an option @ $9M - 1.5M buyout -- That would push it to 3/years 22.5M

No one is really talking about Millwood? What is his price and would he be a good fit here?

I have heard that he will sign a one year deal with some incentives to get his stock up. Maybe 5 million guaranteed with 3 million in incentives a possibility? He nearly had a five era in the national league so that should be of concern.
