soxfan420
i know he is a ground ball pitcher and with our infield it would be nice, but 8 mill a year for 3 years for a pitcher that has had a 4.47 era and 5.42 era the last two years comeon now what do you think his contract will look like and should we sign him if we can? is it because boston had the worst ZR in the league and they couldnt get to his ground balls? When it counts and its on the line he comes through.
fathom
8 mil is too high for Lowe, but if you want to sign a respectable pitcher like Clement, Odalis, or Lowe, it's going to end up costing you about 24 mil over 3 years....if not more for Clement. I honestly have a very hard time seeing KW spend this much money on a pitcher. He's fooling himself if he thinks he can get one for 5-6 mil a yr. His performance in the World Series is enough to give him strong consideration. I'm not huge on him either, but if we can't land Clement or Perez, he's a good fallback. babybearhater
i agree. plus it doesnt look like we are talking to anyone else at this point. Although it looks like O perez is only going to cost about 6 million a year, which we can afford

He probably is but after having picked up a nice chunk of salary room by trading Lee I think we're well positioned to land one of the 3 starters everyone's talking about around here. There's no excuse anymore for not signing one of em.
