Jordan4life_2007
Now I realize that the goal this off-season is to get better in the pitching/speed/defense department. I have no problem with that. I like what we've done so far, and i'll really be happy if we end up signing Clement or Perez. My question to all my White Sox brother's and Sister's is will we have a good enough offense to hang in the AMERICAN league, especially when you consider that the Cell has become the Coors field of the american league. Now if Frank is out till june, as rumored, I figure our line-up will look like this. Cf=Podsednik Lf=Rowand 1b=Konerko Rf=Dye Dh=Everett SS=Uribe 3b=Crede 2b=Harris C=Ben Davis How do you guys feel about this line-up? Good enough to hang with the big, bad offenses in the american league? I'm also concerned because whenever Frank does comes back it's not a slam dunk he's gonna even be the same Frank we saw last year before he got hurt. We all know it took Frank a while to bounce back from his last season ending injury. I'd love to get some of your thoughts on this. Thanks!! Gene Honda Civic
you wouldn't play frank at first over Konerko, so why play Po over rowand in CF? Edited December 16, 2004 by Gene Honda Civic

Rowand is the better fielder, but Pod has more speed. But if they move Pod to LF, he can concentrate on stealing more, which was what Tim Raines said. I'd have to shoot whoever made the decision to move him if he's not. There's maybe 5 CF'ers in baseball better than Rowand defensively...off the top of my head Cameron, Beltran, Edmonds(who I still think is overrated), Damon(maybe, that's pushing it though) I feel like I'm missing somebody, Jones(he's lost a step though) I still feel like i'm forgetting someone, but those are the only guys who I would immediately move rowand to another position for. Hunter. that's 6.

GoodAsGould
vernon wells... i think our offense really will live and die by the top of it in pods and rowand
MurcieOne
The offense is gonna be just fine.... were gonna score less runs... but im thinking and so is kenny, that were gonna score more consistently than before....
whitesox91403
I've got no problems with that offense. The Sox still have some guys that can bang there.
Spiff
Harris and Crede still depress me but I think they'll be alright. Not leading the league in homers anymore, but good enough to outscore most teams.
hi8is
the completely optimistic progection: Cf=Podsednik (.300/130runs/70SB) Lf=Rowand (.315/110rbi/100runs) 1b=Konerko (.300/100+rbi/100runs) Rf=Dye (.300/100+rbi/90runs) Dh=Everett (.290/90rbi/80runs) SS=Uribe (.300/90rbi/80runs) 3b=Crede (.280/85rbi/75runs) 2b=Harris (.275/60rbi/85runs) C=Ben Davis (.265/50rbi/50runs) the pemestic progection: Cf=Podsednik (.240/90runs/40SB) Lf=Rowand (.280/90rbi/90runs) 1b=Konerko (.270/90rbi/80runs) Rf=Dye (.260/80+rbi/80runs) Dh=Everett (.260/75rbi/80runs) SS=Uribe (.250/60rbi/70runs) 3b=Crede (.230/60rbi/70runs) 2b=Harris (.250/50rbi/65runs) C=Ben Davis (.230/40rbi/40runs) the realist progection: Cf=Podsednik (.290/110runs/55SB) Lf=Rowand (.315/110rbi/100runs) 1b=Konerko (.290/100+rbi/95runs) Rf=Dye (.280/85+rbi/85runs) Dh=Everett (.275/80+rbi/80runs) SS=Uribe (.285/85rbi/80runs) 3b=Crede (.280/85rbi/75runs) 2b=Harris (.260/55rbi/75runs) C=Ben Davis (.250/50rbi/50runs) i think we will see something like the third, with potential to go either way listed above.... id be happy with the "realist projection" but hey, if he get something like the optimistic projection... look out.... if we get the bum projection.... we're in for a long year i think we'll be fine... the white sox will be a better team then last year and will suprise a lot of people. Not sure why you think that SPOD is not better at center
