hammerhead johnson
He whipped the Sox asses everytime he saw us at the end of the year. I must have been vegetating, because I never noticed. Then again, my White Sox morale was at an all-time low during the second half of last year for a gang of reasons, primarily the USCF hitting conditions. I don't think that I caught even one game during the month of September.
santo=dorf
He whipped the Sox asses everytime he saw us at the end of the year. He gave up a homer in that 13-11 slugfest on August 9th. Overall on the season against the Sox: 4 G, 5.1 IP, .98 WHIP, 3.38 ERA, 5 K's. That's pretty good, but he's not a SoxKilla.
JoshPR
Best trades... Lamar Hoyt for Ozzie Guillen. It was almost like the White Sox knew something about Lamar. It was perfect timing. Hoyt's career was imploding and Ozzie's was just starting. QUIZ: Who's the White Sox scout who's often given credit for finding Ozzie Guillen? Quiz answer: Jack Mckeon Ooops sorry i was thinking the scout who signed Ozzie.
MRKARNO
Uhh....Albert Belle in 1996? 5 years 55 million and the "top three" clause?
SoIL
Ellis Burks and Darren Jackson were two good free agent signings. Both did well.
SoIL
John Kruk was one of the worst. He didn't sign until after the season started then walked away shortly afterwards. Wasn't Kirk McCascall (sp) a free agent signing. He also did a good job for us.
Chisoxfn
The Bartolo Colon trade was a very good one, even if the Sox didn't pan out. He came in and did what was expected of him. The Damaso Marte deal was a very good one too in recent years. FA wise, Elo was fantastic and Bobby Jenks could be a big reward type of move. bjam44
I remember when they got Bo jackson.. he never played that well but did clinch the west in 1993 with that late inn homer..... I remember him doing a victory lap waving a sox around....

whitesox91403
Julio Franco was a good FA signing. Chris Sabo and Mike Devereaux were bad. Sabo being horrible. Danny Tartabull wasn't that bad as a FA signing either.
knightni
Darrin Jackson's signing has cost us all into the present day. :puke
SoIL
Julio Franco was a good FA signing. I loved Julio Franco. An outstanding DH for us. Darrin Jackson's signing has cost us all into the present day. puke.gif I'm guessing your talking about DJ as an announcer, he was real solid as a ballplayer for us. santo=dorf
Mike jackson was a good one. He got a minor league deal, and posted an ERA of 1.93 in April. The worst IS Jaime Navarro because Reinsdorf has to think 352,837 times before giving a starting pitcher a long term deal.

But he did blow and no one can say otherwise.

Tartabull was a good risk, Sabo Sucked
