southsider2k5
So potentially the Sox are going to have a AAA rotation of Grilli, Diaz, Adkins, Cotts, Munoz, and/or Jenks (minus one or two of them to Chicago). Damn Charlotte is going to be happy.
A.J.
We can use him to bean any player who runs over Jamie Burke. Just come in to bean people. He would have been worth Mike jacksons roster spot last year at least.....
GoodAsGould
i like this signing but looking at the big picture how about that AA starting rotation we have down their now with Honel, Jenks, B-Mac, and Tracey.... i cant think of a fifth starter so they would be like a mirror image of the white sox with a loss every 5th day

aboz56
Angels fans are saying he can top off at 103 MPH, but he is a fat, alcoholic, racist, Redneck. If you saw the ESPN piece about him on Outside the Lines about a year or so ago, it was apparent that the guy had as much of an upside of ANY prospect in baseball, yet his alcohol problems were still very much there. I am really pulling for him, seemed like a nice kid in that story and he could surely help out bullpen big time throwing that heat.

In other Sox minor news, White Sox designated RHP Eduardo Villacis for assignment.
Harry Chappas
Weren't there a world of posts on this site last year. The injury seems very minor and his attitude may be the issue. Worh a shot indeed. If nothing else he can sit in the pen and argue with the fans behind him. Sounds like this was the reason Meaux was moved off the 40 man. I can think of a flamethrower from the Northside of the city that likes the sauce too. I'd take him on my team anyday. Bottoms up.
MurcieOne
From the tribune The White Sox made two more roster moves Friday, claiming right-handed pitcher Bobby Jenks off of waivers from the Angels and designating pitcher Eduardo Villacis for assignment. The Sox said the 23-year-old Jenks had arm problems last season while going 0-2 with a 10.71 ERA in five starts for three different teams, including Triple-A Salt Lake. The former fifth-round pick of the Angels had elbow surgery July 20. Villacis, also a right-hander, was claimed off waivers from Kansas City May 26 last year and was 6-4 with a 3.28 ERA in 19 games with Double-A Birmingham

aboz56
Jenks minor league stats Strikeouts and IP almost equal at all major stops... Walks are a major concern, as has been stated over and over. Upside is tremendous, good move KW, this almost makes up for losing Ryan Wing. JoshPR
Isnt' this the guy with the 100mph arm but major head issues? Yup saw Jenks down here last year Pitch for San Juan, Had a pretty good season. Throws in the high 90's hits 100. Major Headcase like Mike Macdougal. I think it could be an interesting project

southsider2k5
Paulino Reynoso Does it sound like Bull is out? Last time I talked to him as I was doing his AAP, he seemed to think he was going back to starting next year.

bigred3535
He sounds kind of like early Jaret Wright (good arm, can't harness stuff, overweight) crossed with a milder version of John Rocker (a little bit loco, but killer if he learns how to pitch). If he can ever put it all together sounds like it could be a great pickup.
Chisoxfn
Isnt' this the guy with the 100mph arm but major head issues? Awesome. I was going to make a most saying the Sox should pick him up, lol. I saw he was designated for assignment yesterday.
Cerbaho-WG
Jenks can hit 100 MPH as a starter, I have no doubts he can hit 103 as a reliever. Excellent move.

chisox2334
This guy has this much trouble and we were worried about ajs presecnce. Aj will pass kenny test. Welcome aboard aj whenever he signs here.
Chisoxfn
Ya, assuming his arm can handle it, he's a future closer. Actually if healthy things could turn out quite well for him. He's made some growths as a person if I recall. Still very rough on the edges, but holy hell, very good move.
KipWellsFan
This guy has this much trouble and we were worried about ajs presecnce. Aj will pass kenny test. Welcome aboard aj whenever he signs here. Well's he's a lot younger than AJ, with a hell of a lot more potential. Seeing as AJ peaked a long time ago that's pretty obvious. Also he won't be starting at the major league level next year likely, and won't be able to screw up any early year team chemistry. Completely different scenarios here. SoxAce
Awesome move by the Sox. Jenks will be a stud if he figures it out.
