Man with a monster heater...will he be the next Randy Johnson or the next Billy Koch? You tell me. Will alcoholism and lack of control (mentally and physically) prevent him from reaching his potential?

didnt he have some kind of injury problems?

Yes. He is still rehabbing them and from what I hear he's nearing 100% and will be so near the end of spring training. I don't know if he'll start the year in extended spring training or somewhere along the lines of Aball, but it will be interesting to see.

I know the Angels indicated he would be ready right around the start of the year.

i thought we had to keep him on the 25 man roster or not offer him back to the angels.. :huh    or is he officially with the sox?

He has to stay on the 40 man roster. We don't have to offer him back to Anaheim if we take him off of the 40 man, he would have to clear waivers at that point.

BB, how is Jenks looking?  You attend the Birmingham games, correct?  What's the fastball poppin' at?

According to Curt Bloom on radio his Fast Ball toped at 96 to strike out James Shanks. Best Pitch he made yesterday was a 3-1 pitch with 2 on 2 out 3-1 game to Chris Ashby who was trying to be hero and win it guessed fastball got a change and grounded out to 2nd to end it.

Been pitching in the Majors for several outings, seems every bit of what he is supposed to be. Signs of maturity are also encouraging. Don't be surprised if Bobby stays in the majors.

Then you'll be out of a job.

Damn, no more adopt a prospect for me. You can thank me for Bobby going to the majors. Kenny took a visit to our board, saw my watchful eyes on Big Bobby, and Kenny said "We should give him a chance!" Yes, you can thank ME for the discovery of Bobby Jenks.
